Pujutgan Salong
푸줏간살롱 Pujutgan is an old Korean word for a butcher's shop and salong is 'salon' — the house dresses a frozen-pork-belly grill up as a 1920s–30s Gyeongseong (colonial-era Seoul) salon.

Pujutgan Salong is a flash-frozen pork belly grill on the second floor of 77 Dongmak-ro, right by exit 1 of Sangsu station. You grill thin frozen pork belly at the table in a room dressed as a 1920s–30s Gyeongseong salon, and since October 2026 there is also a marinated pork rib that comes out already grilled. Current prices: pork belly 15,000 won per 150 g portion, pork rib 15,000 won per 200 g, doenjang stew 7,000 won, and a set of two belly portions, one rib, stew and kimchi fried rice for 52,000 won. We read 30 posts dated 9 July to 29 October 2026; 3 were about other restaurants and 2 were write-ups without a visit, leaving 25 visits. Posts up to early September describe a lunch service (open 11:30, break 15:00–17:00) and 13,000–14,000 won per portion.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The owner lays out the first round for you. Eleven posts say he put the pork, kimchi and vegetables on the grill and peppered them, and one says staff fried the kimchi rice at the table — 12 in all. Several mention him serving in period costume.
- The marinated rib comes out already grilled from the kitchen — nine posts from 20 October on say so. Only one post, from 13 October when the dish was new, grilled it themselves at the table with shredded scallion.
- Seven posts went with a booking, and three of them found a name card or a reserved sign waiting at the table.
- Five posts say side dishes are refillable. What's excluded varies: two say lettuce wraps, two say the grilling vegetables, one just says 'vegetables'. Posts repeatedly describe one big tray with cold cucumber soup, egg-dipped pink sausage, scallion salad, kimchi and canned fruit.
2 more
- Five posts mention a bar counter along the window looking out on the street. Table counts differ: a 3 September post counts six four-tops plus the long counter, a 19 October post eight four-tops and four window seats for two.
- Fifteen posts call the owner or staff friendly. One says he brought over a foaming gadget on seeing them mix soju and beer; another says he warned them in advance that the corn pancake takes time.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

The address says ground floor, but the restaurant is up a flight of stairs on the second floor. Five posts say so, and a 24 September post quotes a sign promising it's 'only 10 steps up'. No post mentions a lift.
No post mentions steps at the door, wheelchairs, prams or a lift — only that you climb stairs to the second floor. That means nobody wrote about it, not that access is impossible.
The toilets are outside the restaurant, next to its door. Four posts say you have to step out, two mention a door code, three say they are separate for men and women, and two note a smoking room right beside them.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post describes queuing. One July weekend-evening visit says it was so busy they'd have missed out without a booking; an October post booked and sat straight down. That doesn't mean there is never a wait — nobody who walked in without a booking wrote about it.
- Opening hours changed in early September 2026. Five posts up to 3 September give Tue–Sun 11:30–24:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break and last order at 23:00. Posts from 24 September give Tue–Fri 16:00–24:00, Sat–Sun 13:00–24:00, last order 23:30, closed Mondays — only one read this off the sign outside; the rest copied it. One 5 October post says Tue–Sun from 16:00, disagreeing on weekends.
- The pork belly price changed twice: late July–early August posts show an opening discount from 15,000 to 13,000 won, two September posts 14,000 won, and posts from 5 October 15,000 won. Whole-meal totals: 52,000 won for two (two belly portions, one rib, stew, rice) and 59,000 won for three (three belly portions, stew, two rice, one beer).
- More than ten posts give the same phone number, 0507-1334-2097, and several say Naver booking is available.
- Only three posts say who paid — one blogger-panel visit, one marked #sponsored, one self-paid; the other 22 visit posts say nothing. Phrases like the 'supply-and-exhaust ventilation system', the four-language menu and the 'brown-toned wooden interior' recur in more than ten posts, and three end with the identical seven hashtags, so many look written from the shop's own brief. Claims about grade-1 sows, −40 °C flash-freezing and domestic kimchi are the shop's words, which we report as such.
