Masi China
맛이차이나 Masichaina A pun: 맛이 차이나 reads as 'the taste makes a difference' (차이 나다, to differ), and its last word sounds like 'China'.

Masi China is a Chinese restaurant on the 2nd (main hall) and 3rd (private rooms) floors of Dongmak-ro 68, described as a 2-5 minute walk from Exit 4 of Sangsu Station. Most posts order the A set of small sweet-and-sour pork plus six shrimp (38,000 won), jjajangmyeon (9,000 won) or gongbu tangmyeon, a white jjamppong (11,000-12,000 won); three ate the 35,000-won lunch course in a 3rd-floor room. We read 30 posts from March 19 to October 8, 2026: 2 were about other restaurants and 3 did not describe a visit, leaving 25 visits.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Crispness comes up most. Of the 25 visits, 16 said the sweet-and-sour pork or other fried dishes were crisp, and 7 said the meat was thick. The pork arrives with sauce on the side; one post says they will toss it in the sauce if you ask when ordering. One post found the texture a bit hard.
- Five posts said the pork, ribs or chicken had no gamey smell; none said otherwise.
- The 3rd floor is private rooms. Six posts ate in or saw a room, and six booked ahead. An August 2026 post booked by phone four days ahead with no trouble for a weekday lunch; there was no room fee, but a room requires ordering a course. That post judged a room fits 8-10 people. Two posts brought a birthday cake and cut it in the room.
- No post called it expensive; 8 said prices were fair or not high. Prices written: A set 38,000 won (three posts), jjajangmyeon 9,000 (two), lunch course 35,000 per person (four), signature set 29,000 per person (two), weekday lunch set 16,000 (two) or 15,000 (one).
3 more
- Three posts mention waiting: about 5 minutes at 1 p.m. on a Sunday, a short wait at a weekend lunch without a booking, and one calling it a place with a queue. Only one gave a time. A post that arrived at 5:30 p.m. on a weekday found it quiet.
- Four posts describe it as close to the station: one counted about 40 steps from Exit 4 of Sangsu Station, another about two minutes on foot, and one warned that the lane by the station is a bit busy.
- Company is evenly spread: 4 posts went with family, 4 with friends, 4 as a larger group such as a work lunch or club, 2 as a couple, and 1 with a child.

Parking
1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 1 of 24 posts |

Parking details are mostly copied info: valet is listed as available, at 3,000 or 4,000 won for two hours depending on the post. Only one post described parking first-hand, saying it is a mechanical lot and you hand the car to the valet. Another used the public lot across the street and paid for it themselves.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
4 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 6 of 24 posts |
|---|
The main hall is on the 2nd floor; six posts describe going up to it, one by the stairs. The registered address says 3rd floor, which is where the private rooms are. No post mentions a basement.
No one said whether there is a step at the entrance, an elevator, or wheelchair or stroller access; one post only mentions climbing stairs to the 2nd floor. That means we don't know, not that there is none.
No one said whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or split by gender; one May 2026 post only said it was clean.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours differ between posts. Closing time is 22:00 in 8 posts and 21:30 in 5; one says it opens at 11:00. The weekday break is 16:00-17:00 in 8 posts, 15:30-17:00 in 4 and 15:00-17:00 in 1. The 21:30/15:30 posts also list last orders at 14:50 and 20:50, which suggests one copied source, and they don't split by date. Several say there is no weekend break. Almost all of this is copied, so check before going.
- Prices vary slightly between posts. A menu copied on March 19, 2026 lists fish-fragrant eggplant (small) at 27,000 won, gongbu tangmyeon 12,000 and shrimp toast 18,000, while a March 28 post wrote 25,000, 11,000 and 16,000. Small sweet-and-sour pork appears as 22,000 (March) and 20,000 (July). One post's 17,000-won 'A course' and 30,000-won lunch course don't match the others. Check the menu for the cost of a meal.
- Two phone numbers appear: 010-9822-2653 in three posts and 02-322-2653 in two. Three posts booked a room or group table by phone.
- Three posts found the staff kind, one noting they offered to split a single jjamppong into two bowls. One May 2026 dinner-course post regretted that the servers explained nothing about the dishes.
- Some posts look like commissioned copy: three from August-September 2026 share sentences word for word, and several more follow the same chef-pedigree and Blue Ribbon template, without disclosing sponsorship. One post disclosed a free meal. Claims about the chef's background, TV appearances and Korean pork tenderloin are the restaurant's own lines, which we did not count.
- One June 2026 post says kkanpung shrimp used to come with nacho chips and that they disappeared at some point; we don't know when.
