Mokseokjeong
목석정 Mok-seok-jeong is written 木石情 — tree, stone and affection; the three set courses are named after the three characters.

Mokseokjeong is a hanok restaurant on Palpan-gil in Samcheong-dong serving Korean set courses: Mok at 48,000 won, Seok at 68,000 and Jeong at 98,000, each in five parts — amuse, cold, warm, stone-pot rice and dessert. Prices held steady throughout; the dishes changed with the seasons. Twenty posts say they booked ahead, and family occasions — birthdays, first meetings between in-laws — account for ten visits, more than any other kind. We read 30 posts dated 9 March to 22 October 2026; 26 of them describe an actual meal.

Rows without a count: 11 of 17 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The private rooms are why people pick this place: 17 posts mention them. There are two, Haemiljae and Cheongunjae. One writer chose Haemiljae because Cheongunjae is closed off only by fabric rather than a door; a party of eight in Haemiljae found it cramped. Three posts give a room charge of 30,000 won.
- Ten posts call it quiet and one disagrees: a diner seated in the main hall was bothered by noise from other tables. Most of the quiet verdicts came from people in the private rooms.
- Six posts say the seasoning is light. A March visitor had a different complaint: the sauces on the steamed beef and skate were too sweet.
- Seven posts found the portions generous and one found them small. Three friends left patting their stomachs; another diner wished she had picked the smaller Mok course. One writer warned that big eaters may go home hungry.
1 more
- Twenty posts say they booked ahead. Deposits are 30,000 won per person for Mok and Seok and 40,000 for Jeong; two writers say the deposit was refunded on arrival or when they paid. Two others noted a birthday on the booking and were given seaweed soup and a dessert plate with a candle.

Two posts say they parked right next to the restaurant, one finding the lot bigger than expected. The figures of four spaces and 10,000 won for three hours are copied from listings. Another couple drove but used the public lot at Jeongdok Library.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 26 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 1 (of 26 posts read) |
No one described the floor level or any stairs from experience; the only clue is '1st floor' in the address.
No one mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. One family came with a toddler but said nothing about a pushchair. That means we don't know, not that it is impossible.
Only one post mentions the toilet: it is beside the private rooms, visible from the hall, and unisex — the writer suggests going before you arrive.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The dishes changed with the seasons: milk porridge and sea bream in March–April, chilled soy milk with melon and octopus in May–July, sweet corn, squid-tomato cold soup and perilla-cream chicken from August. One diner was told the menu would change again in mid-October, so what is served now may differ from what we read. The restaurant has not moved.
- Four posts say a meal takes about two hours; only one says about an hour. One diner found the pace slow, and a lunch party said dessert was rushed because the afternoon break was about to start.
- Eighteen posts list opening hours, all copied from listings. Six give daily 12:00–21:00 with a 14:30–18:00 break; eleven split weekdays (12:00–21:00, break 14:30–18:00, last order 20:30) from weekends (12:00–21:30, break 14:00–17:00, last order 21:00). Two say it opens every day of the year. Whether the Seok course is served at lunch is also disputed: four posts say dinner only, yet two people ate it at lunch.
- Course prices did not change from March to October. Drinks push the bill up — one couple paid nearly 100,000 won for a Mok lunch. Posts also list a 30,000 won room charge and corkage of 30,000 won a bottle, two bottles maximum.
- Only one post describes actually getting there by public transport — bus 01A from Gyeongbokgung Station exit 4. The '15-minute walk from Anguk Station' appears in many posts but always as copied information.
- Nobody reported queuing; most posts say it takes reservations only. One party arrived around 11:10 and found the doors didn't open until about 11:40.
- Nine posts give the phone number 0507-1330-1074; one gives 010-2257-1048. Most booked through Naver or CatchTable.
- Several posts repeat the same information blocks and phrases in the same order, which suggests a shared brief. None disclose sponsorship, but we did not count the repeated wording as evidence. Four posts say the writer paid.
