Raw fish
Bada Hoehyanggi
바다회향기 Bada hyanggi means 'scent of the sea'; regulars and the sign put hoe (raw fish) in the middle, so the name everyone uses reads 'scent of the sea's raw fish'.

Bada Hoehyanggi (registered as Bada Hyanggi) is a raw-fish house on the cup-rice street in front of Noryangjin Station, at 180 Noryangjin-ro, ground floor, serving platters of small wild-caught fish from the Tongyeong coast. The wild platter is 60,000, 80,000 or 100,000 won by size, rock eel sashimi 50,000, and prawns are priced per piece. Eight posts describe the free wild deodeok root dropped into a tumbler when you order soju. The restaurant moved here around autumn 2025, from near Jangseungbaegi Station and before that Ilsan and Banghwa. We read 17 posts dated 22 November 2024 to 15 October 2026: four were about an arboretum in Ansan with a similar name and were set aside, one is a new-openings list, and 12 describe a visit (one of them recalls the old location).

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The fish comes slowly. Five posts say so: one arrived at 4 p.m. and got the platter at 5, one was told the rock eel needed two hours, one found the fish-bone soup took far too long. One writer warns the impatient to stay away, putting it down to every small fish being cleaned by hand.
- Expect a wait in the evening. Four posts waited: 20 minutes at 7 p.m. on a Saturday, an hour at 5 p.m. on a Friday — that writer put a name and phone number in a notebook and waited in the café next door. One post says the queue started after the move. One post arrived around 5 p.m. and found a two-top and two four-tops free. One post says reservations are not taken.
- You can bring your own bottle. Two posts did or saw it: one noticed many tables with their own whisky, another brought natural wine and had to buy cups of ice at a convenience store because the house had none to give. One post says drinks and water are self-serve.
- The room is small. Three posts say so; one counts five two-person tables and three four-person tables. One party of five was turned away because only groups of four or fewer are seated, and one post found a neighbouring party loud.
1 more
- Posts often mention the owner naming each fish on the platter. Five posts found the service good; one did not — a group of five was told only four could be seated, with no further word, and left calling it plain rude. One post notes the owner's wife does all the serving alone.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
3 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor; only the address says ground floor. That is not evidence otherwise — simply no one wrote about it.
No one mentions a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; several posts note fish tanks lined up at the entrance.
No post says where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 13 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The restaurant has moved several times. A January 2026 post speaks of a recent move toward the station and a September post says it has been about a year, so we date the move to this address to around autumn 2025. One post from September 2026 recalls the old location, and we did not use its opening hours.
- Six posts copy the same hours — Monday to Saturday 4 p.m. to midnight, closed Sunday — and two add a last order at 11 p.m.; all are copied listings. One post alone gives 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. One writer arrived right at the 4 p.m. opening. One post was told the place may close on other days when weather keeps the Tongyeong boats in, and suggests calling first.
- Three posts give the phone number 010-6295-1446. One post found reservations are not taken, and another copies a listing saying the same.
- No post totals a bill. Opinions split on price and size: one called the prawns a very expensive snack at 10,000 won a piece, another called the fish fairly priced; one found the platter generous, another said even the large one is not much fish — one each way.
- Three posts found it an easy walk from Noryangjin Station — two minutes, or about 350 m, with exit 3 closer than exit 6. No one mentions buses.
