Sayuui Seojae Namsan is a Western-style restaurant on the 4th and 5th floors of a building at Toegye-ro 20-gil 13, near Exit 3 of Myeongdong Station, serving pasta, risotto, pizza and steak with wine. The registered address says 3rd floor, but visitors ate in the 4th-floor dining room and terrace or the 5th-floor café and wine shop. Pasta, risotto and pizza run 25,000–28,000 won, the salchi steak 60,000 won, and a 40,000-won-per-person set brings ricotta salad, gambas, one main and a drink. Several posts say the afternoon break was dropped from June 29, 2026. We read 30 posts from December 25, 2025 to October 17, 2026; 23 are about this place and 22 describe a visit. Of those 22, four disclose sponsorship or a hosted meal, one says the writer paid, and seventeen say nothing.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- There is an open-air terrace on the 4th floor. Ten posts mention it and five sat out there — on a weekday lunch, a cool autumn evening, and once by choosing terrace seating in the Naver booking. One post credits the neighbour's tree-filled garden for the leafy feel.
- There are several private rooms. Seven posts mention them and four ate in one — including a family with children and a couple on a rainy day. One post got a room facing Myeongdong buildings and advises asking for a Namsan Tower–view room when booking. The '2 to 60 people, 140 for a buyout' figures are house copy repeated in nearly every post; two posts give 120 instead.
- Nine posts mention the big windows or a window seat. Namsan Tower and the cable car are visible from the window side, and one post recommends asking for a window table. One describes the 5th floor as wine bottles along one wall and floor-to-ceiling glass facing the tower on the other.
- Of the thirteen posts that say who they came with, nine came as a couple — for birthdays, an anniversary, Christmas Eve. Two came with family (one with primary-school children, in a private room) and two with friends.

- Seven posts booked ahead through CatchTable or Naver; one says the Naver booking let them choose terrace or indoor seating.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 10 (of 22 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 8 of 22 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 3 of 22 posts |
You reach it by lift. Eight posts took the elevator up to the 4th or 5th floor, and one says the elevator is the only way up. Ten posts went upstairs to eat; none describes going down to a basement.
There is an elevator, but no post says whether the building entrance has a step or whether anyone came in with a wheelchair or stroller. That isn't a no — nobody wrote about it.
Three posts mention separate men's and women's toilets, placed 'next to the restaurant door', 'at the entrance' or 'off the corridor' — so we can't tell whether they are inside the restaurant or in the shared hallway.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 23 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waiting depends on the day. A Christmas Eve 2025 post with an 8 pm booking queued outside in the cold on the ground floor, then queued again on the 4th floor. Two posts from September–October 2026 arrived at a late lunch or before the dinner rush and found it empty. No post tells us how long an ordinary weekend evening wait is.
- Only the Christmas Eve 2025 course post complains of slow service: courses came about 20 minutes apart and the final tea never arrived. No post describes slow service on an ordinary day.
- 'Three minutes' walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 3' is house copy most posts repeat. Only one post says from its own walk that it was easy by public transport. Nobody wrote about coming by bus.
- Seventeen posts give the same hours, 11:00–23:00 daily, and ten add a 22:00 last order — all copied info blocks. Floors keep different hours: three posts were sent to the 5th floor because the 4th wasn't open that day (one weekday lunch, two weekends), and two more were seated on the 5th because it was the weekend. One post ate on the 4th but found the 5th-floor café already closed. Nobody recorded the hours before the break was dropped on June 29.
- Only one post totals a meal: a weekday lunch for two — salchi steak, basil gnocchi, a glass of wine and a Coke Zero — came to 103,000 won. The set is 40,000 won per person, but swapping mains costs extra (ragù pasta +3,000, salchi steak +35,000). The Christmas Eve 2025 course was 160,000 won, and that writer felt the money was wasted. The one post calling the set good value is a disclosed sponsored post.
- Heat varies by dish. Posts split on the seafood tteokbokki — one says not spicy, another mildly spicy; one calls the carbonara tteokbokki pleasantly hot, and one bit into a chilli in the gambas thinking it was garlic.
- Two posts found portions small: a 150 g Korean-beef steak outweighed by its garnish, and a tiny flounder ceviche on a large plate in the Christmas course.
- Posts from September–October 2026 say a 6th-floor rooftop grill was under construction and due to open on October 12. A visitor on October 5 couldn't use the 5th floor or rooftop because of the works. No one has written about it since the planned opening, so we don't know if it opened.
- Posts disagree on the 5th-floor works: the September 9 and October 5 posts say it was closed for construction, yet posts from September 7, 10, 13 and 14 sat on or toured the 5th floor. Likewise, an August 16 post says the cheese-wheel ragù pasta was off the menu, while three later posts say it was still listed.
- Most posts from July–October 2026 repeat the same stock phrases, including the line about dropping the break from June 29. Only four disclose sponsorship, but we treat them as working from one brief and did not count the parking deal, room capacity, '300 wines', gift-voucher and corkage details they copy. The one self-paid post, from December 2025, was the only disappointed one.
- Fourteen posts list the phone number as 1877-0042; one gives 0507-1365-2157. Seven posts booked via CatchTable or Naver. The Christmas Eve post says payment was taken on the 3rd floor.
