Hyeonseonine Cheonggye Jeukseokjeom
현선이네 청계즉석점 Hyeonseon-i-ne means "Hyeonseon's place" (a girl's name with the homely -ne ending); Cheonggye Jeukseok-jeom marks this as the Cheonggyecheon branch that serves jeukseok tteokbokki, cooked at your table.
Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →
A cook-at-the-table tteokbokki joint tucked down the alley beside the Mega Coffee at Euljiro 1-ga Station exit 3. Most people order the jeukseok tteokbokki, simmered on an induction hob in the table (11,000 won a portion, two minimum), or the Hyeonseoni Combo Set (25,000 won) with tteokbokki, sundae, fried bits, mini gimbap and fish cake. You order and pay at a kiosk outside before going in, and fetch your own cutlery, water and pickled radish. Many posts describe a tented, half-outdoor old-school space, with plenty of draft beer in the evenings. We read 30 posts from 30 June to 8 October 2026: 27 are first-hand visits, and 2 were set aside because they were about the Yongsan flagship.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You order first, at a kiosk outside. Eleven posts ordered that way; one says you wait until your name is called, another advises checking for a free seat before paying. Because the order is already in, food comes fast: five posts say so, one timing it at about three minutes, and none say it was slow.
- Expect a wait at lunch. Five posts waited; the two that timed it both say 15 minutes (a weekday lunch and Thursday at noon). One also queued briefly at 7 pm on a weekday. One post arrived first in line after work, and another says it is always busy but turns tables quickly.
- Nine posts call the portions large, one saying two portions of jeukseok tteokbokki were enormous and another that the combo set feeds three. One post found two portions for two just right, neither too much nor too little.
- Twelve posts say the fried items are crisp, usually dunked in the tteokbokki sauce; one notes they are not fried to order. Five posts say the sundae has no gamey smell.
1 more
- In the evening it works as a bar. Four posts drank draft beer (4,500 won) or saw most tables drinking, and there is a beer set with two drafts (32,000 won). One post sat outside with tteokbokki and a draft.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 25 posts read) |
|---|
Only one post says it is on the ground floor; the rest just repeat the address. One post gives a basement address in Signature Tower, which looks like a different branch nearby, so we did not count it.
No post says anything about steps, wheelchairs or strollers. That means we don't know, not that access is fine. Several describe the entrance as a narrow alley under awnings between buildings.
No post mentions the toilet: where it is or whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on size: five call it small or cramped, two say it is bigger than it looks. Several mention a narrow alley entrance that runs deep inside, which may explain the split. One post smelled a drain near its seat; another found it clean.
- Three heat levels: mild, medium and hot. Four posts found it spicy (one on hot had a runny nose throughout), two did not, and three were mixed or undecided. Even medium splits opinion between quite hot and not very hot.
- All opening hours are copied from listing blocks. Of fifteen posts that give them, fourteen say weekdays 10:40 to 21:00 and thirteen say closed Saturday and Sunday. One post has 10:30 as opening time, and another lists Monday to Saturday with Sundays off. One post notes there is no break time. No post describes a weekend visit.
- Company noted: colleagues or friends in two posts, a partner in two, a group of three in one. Nobody ate in with family or children; one post took the food home to share with family.
- Prices held steady from June to October 2026. Two portions of jeukseok tteokbokki cost 22,000 won, so 11,000 won each for a pair; one post works the combo out at about 8,000 won each for three. Three posts call it good value, one says it is not exactly cheap for lunch. Three got a free fried rice cake or rice ball for writing a Naver review.
- Ten posts give the same phone number, 0507-1305-2953. 'Reservations, takeout and delivery available' is copied from the listing; no post booked ahead. Three posts took food away.
- Thirteen posts from 14 September to 2 October 2026 share the same title and hashtag phrases. Only one says it got a visit discount; the rest say nothing either way. We counted them as visits because they describe what was eaten, but they may be part of a promotional batch.
