왕십리왕곱창 Wangsimni is the name of a Seoul neighbourhood, wang means king, and gopchang is grilled intestines; the blogs call this one the Gubeundari branch.

Compiled from 2 blog posts read in fullSources →

A pork gopchang and makchang (intestine) house at 199 Sangam-ro in Myeongil-dong, Gangdong-gu. The meal is grilled makchang or stir-fried gopchang with vegetables in the evening, finished with fried rice, which is what the visitors ate. We read 15 posts from November 2024 to October 2026 and set 2 aside as being about other restaurants. Of the remaining 13, only 2 describe an actual meal; 9 are promotional posts from three blogs repeating the same lines in the same order, and we did not count them. No post gives a price.

What sets it apart

  1. One of the two visit posts talks about portions: one serving each of vegetable gopchang and makchang came out larger than expected, and even a single portion of fried rice was very generous. The promotional posts all say the same, but that is copy, and we do not rely on it.
  2. One visit post addressed the smell: neither the gopchang nor the makchang had any noticeable off odour.

These are raw counts, not percentages. Someone who did not mention something is not someone who disagreed.

The most ordered dish is bokkeumbap (볶음밥) — 2 of 2 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

No visitor said which floor the restaurant is on; the only mention is "1st floor" in one post's address line.

Nobody wrote about steps at the entrance or about getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. That does not mean you can't; we simply don't know.

Nobody mentioned whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or whether it is split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 13 posts we gathered, 11 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Most of what is written about this place is promotional. Between May and October 2026 three blogs posted 9 pieces, each repeating the same points about the exit 3 location, its long years in one spot, regulars, big portions, takeaway and the phone number, without saying what was eaten or what it cost. We left all nine out of the counts.
  • We cannot give reliable opening hours. One visit post copied an info block saying Monday to Saturday 16:00 to midnight, closed Sundays. The promotional posts give opening times of either 16:00 or 14:00, closing at 23:00 or midnight, and two of them say it is open every day, which contradicts the Sunday closure.
  • We do not know the prices. No post lists any, and the one post with a price list was about a different branch on Dolgoji-ro, so we excluded it. We cannot estimate what a meal costs.
  • The phone number 02-481-7780 comes from the promotional posts. They say you can call ahead to order takeaway, but neither visit post tried phoning or booking.
  • The only account of getting there from the subway is one visit post saying it is about a four-minute walk from Gubeundari station. The promotional line about it being right by exit 3 is copy. Nobody described getting there by bus.
  • No post mentions waiting. That does not mean there is never a wait; there are only two visit posts and neither brings it up.
  • The only post that says who they went with is one visit with a partner. Nobody wrote from experience about going alone, with family or in a group; the promotional lines about families and coworkers are copy.
