Mullae Golmokjip

문래 골목집 Golmokjip means 'the alley house' — you reach the dining rooms through a narrow alley between two buildings in Mullae-dong.

A duck restaurant reached through an alley between two buildings on Dorim-ro 125-gil in Mullae-dong. Nearly everyone orders the two-person set at 46,000 won: duck-and-vegetable bulgogi for two cooked on a stone griddle, ogamtang (a perilla-seed duck stew), and roe fried rice made in the leftover duck fat. Ogamtang alone is 10,000 won. Posts from October 2026 say the place has expanded into the shop next door and now has two dining rooms, left and right of the alley. We read 30 posts dated 11 April to 17 October 2026; 29 describe a visit, and 25 went up in October 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The bulgogi arrives piled high on a platter; a staff member puts about half on the griddle and you cook it yourself — one post was told that putting it all on at once would burn it. Eleven posts say staff fried the closing rice at the table. Posts that had the jumulleok, the plain roast or the octopus say staff cooked the whole thing for them.
  2. The duck is sliced thin — seven posts said so, one comparing it to shaved pork belly, and none called it thick. Seven posts said there was no gamey smell; four said the seasoning was not salty, while one post that had the red jumulleok found it strong.
  3. Eighteen posts said the portions were large. One said the two-person set really feeds three and suggested couples order à la carte; that couple took their fried rice home. One post disagreed: the duck shrinks as it cooks and can seem smaller than it looks.
  4. There is a self-service corner with lettuce, perilla leaves, garlic, chillies, onion and soybean paste; thirteen posts topped up side dishes there or were brought more. One table refilled the seasoned noodles three times.
2 more
  1. Eleven posts walked straight in; two waited — one about 20 minutes at 7 p.m. on a Friday, another found a line at 7:30 on a Friday. The walk-ins were weekday evenings, 11:30 on a weekday, and 3 p.m. on a Saturday or Sunday. Seven posts mention waiting chairs set out in the alley. A staff member told one blogger there is no wait since the expansion; that is hearsay and we do not rely on it.
  2. Fifteen posts found the staff friendly. One did not: as the lunch crowd arrived around noon on a weekday, the ogamtang took so long that they finished the bulgogi first, and when they tried to call the owner over he never looked their way.

Getting inside

Toilet inside2 of 29 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 29 posts

No post describes which floor it is on from experience; '1st floor' appears only in the address, and nobody mentions stairs. That means no one wrote about it, not that there are none.

Posts describe the entrance as a narrow alley between two buildings lined with waiting chairs, but nobody said whether there is a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. No post was written by someone who came with children.

Two posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant, and one of them says it is separate for men and women. Nobody described its size or whether a wheelchair can use it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • October 2026 posts describe two rooms either side of the alley after the expansion into the shop next door; two say the left one is bright and white and the right one has an old-diner feel. Fifteen posts called it spacious, but three said the tables are close together, and one could hear every word from the next table. Posts up to September do not describe the layout, so we don't know what it was like before.
  • One August visitor said it gets very hot — the air conditioning isn't ceiling-mounted and you're cooking over a flame at the table — and advised against midsummer. Another said the smell gets into clothes and bags.
  • Three posts found it ordinary: one called the food so-so, one said it was good but no great find, and one said the bulgogi tasted like anywhere else.
  • Several posts give the distance — five to eight minutes from Mullae Station exit 7, about ten from Sindorim — but none describes actually arriving by subway or bus.
  • Twenty-two posts list opening hours, all copied from listings. Most say Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 11:00–22:30, Friday and Saturday until 23:00, closed Mondays. Twenty posts say closed Monday and one says Sunday; one says Friday and Saturday until 1 a.m., and an April 2026 post has Saturday and Sunday until 23:00. No one gave a last-order time.
  • Prices are clear only for the sets: 46,000 won for two, 62,000 for three, 86,000 for four, with ogamtang at 10,000 and the cheese topping at 4,000. Eleven posts said it was not expensive; one resented paying nearly 50,000 won given the service. Nobody gave à la carte prices for the bulgogi or octopus. The free soju or 5,000 won off after a 20-minute wait, the buy-two-get-one takeaway and the photo-review gifts are the restaurant's own offers; four posts actually received a soju or beer for a photo review.
  • Thirteen posts give the phone number as 0507-1411-1387; two give other numbers. Copied listing information disagrees on reservations — some say you can book, others say no — and two posts say the stew dishes need booking an hour ahead. No post describes actually booking.
  • Most October 2026 posts follow one template: a link to the restaurant's online meal-kit store, the same list of TV and YouTube appearances, the same 'dates, family meals, office dinners' line, and the photo-review offer, in the same order. Fourteen posts carry the store link; only two disclose sponsorship. Seven say they paid their own way.
