Rara Yangkkochi
라라양꼬치 Yangkkochi means lamb skewers; the posts do not explain 'Rara', though one notes the neon logo is a modern take on the character 樂 (joy).

Rara Yangkkochi is a lamb-skewer restaurant at 68 Sinmok-ro 2-gil, Yangcheon-gu (Omok Building, unit 108), a short walk from exit 5 of Omokgyo station. Many posts say it was opened by Rakhuian, a Chinese restaurant in Mokdong. Diners grill unfrozen lamb skewers themselves on a charcoal grill at the table and add Chinese dishes such as guobaorou or stir-fried octopus suckers. The most-ordered item is the two-person first-skewer set at 59,900 won in every post; ten plain skewers cost 18,000 won. One post from an early-July visit says it had been open about two weeks, which puts the opening in late June 2026. We read 30 posts dated 31 July to 15 October 2026; 29 describe an actual visit, and one is a coupon notice written by the operator.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The most frequent comment concerns smell: 26 of the 29 visit posts say the lamb had little or no gamey odour, and none say it did. One writer who calls herself fussy about smells said the meat needed no seasoning at all. The 'never frozen' line is the restaurant's own claim repeated by bloggers, so we do not count it.
- The table grills rotate the skewers on their own; 11 posts say so, and three add that the fire is strong enough to cook them quickly. Twelve posts say you order by scanning a QR code at the table; one adds that staff will bring a paper menu if asked.
- Ten posts say three small dishes arrive when you sit down: zha cai, roasted peanuts and pickled onion. Posts also keep mentioning three seasonings on every table: cumin, the house chili blend and curry powder.
- Expect to wait in the evening. Five posts say they did: one waited 30 minutes on a weekday evening, another found four groups already waiting at about 7 pm on a weekday. A couple who booked for 5:20 on a Sunday say the room was full within ten minutes; they note that the queue runs through the Catch Table app, so you can wait nearby. Four posts booked ahead. The family who waited 30 minutes were given corn skewers and a sausage on the house by way of apology.
1 more
- Most posts find the room roomy: seven say the tables are well spaced, one calls the room a little cramped, and two say it is not large but not uncomfortable either. Three mention partitioned seats.

Parking

The free basement car park in the Omok Building appears in more than ten posts, but almost always copied from listings. Only one post says, from experience, that parking was easy. Another couple who drove parked across the road at the Prugio complex instead, saying the building's own lot can be tight; buying an Americano at the Starbucks in that building gets two hours free.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 29 posts read) |
|---|
Two posts saw that the restaurant is on the ground floor. Nobody says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. That is unknown, not a no.
No visitor describes the toilets or says whether they are inside the restaurant. Only one copied info block lists separate men's and women's toilets.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The sets have changed. In posts up to mid-August 2026 the 59,900-won first set had 10–12 plain skewers, eight rib-meat skewers, two mala skewers and guobaorou; in October posts the same price buys eight plain, two marinated, two mala and eight sirloin skewers plus the wood-ear salad. The larger set was the 98,000-won family set (with octopus and guobaorou) through September and the 89,000-won assorted skewer set in October. Don't read the August descriptions as the current menu.
- Prices: 59,900 won for the two-person set, 18,000 won for ten plain skewers, 19,000 won for mala or marinated, 18,000 won for guobaorou. A set plus one noodle dish or extra plate for two would come to roughly 70,000–80,000 won, but no post states what a meal actually cost. October posts mention many promotions, such as free guobaorou Tuesday to Thursday, review rewards and two-plus-one draught beer, all of them time-limited. Several posts copy a corkage fee of 10,000 won per bottle.
- The opening hours copied into posts disagree. Ten give Tuesday–Friday 16:30–23:15, weekends 16:00–23:15, last order 22:30, closed Mondays, and 19 mention the Monday closure. Others give 16:00 opening Tuesday to Sunday (four posts), a 23:30 close (two) or no closing day (one), and one lists 14:00 to midnight daily. Check before you go.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1394-7044, but two list 0507-1365-8988. Several posts say bookings are taken through Naver; one copied block says from two people on weekdays and three at weekends.
- Many posts look promotional. Eleven posts from 7–15 October 2026 and several from early August repeat the same phrases (a Chinese brand since 1945, three generations of ethnic-Chinese cooks, ideal for family and group dinners) and list the menu in the same order. Only one discloses sponsorship; four say the writer paid (two only in hashtags); the rest say nothing either way.
