Western

Seoul Buttikkeu

서울부띠끄 Butikkeu is the Korean spelling of the French word boutique, so the name simply reads 'Seoul Boutique'.

Compiled from 5 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Western-style restaurant in an old green three-storey building at the top of Manrijae-ro, just across the Seoullo 7017 skywalk from Seoul Station: a pub on the ground floor, a lounge on the second and a rooftop on the third. People come for pasta, risotto and pizza with beer, wine or highballs; the two posts that give prices put pasta and pizza at 19,500 to 20,500 won. We read 30 posts dated 3 September to 16 October 2026. Twenty-four of them look like commissioned copy from a single template and we did not count them, and one is a multi-venue listicle, which leaves only five first-hand visits.

Rows without a count: 2 of 4 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Each floor seats you differently. Four of the five visit posts mention the third-floor rooftop and three mention the second floor. One writer sat on the rooftop terrace but could not get the coveted street-side edge, and notes that once seated you cannot move even if a better spot frees up. Two posts mention a few outdoor tables in front of the ground floor.
  2. Three posts went with a reservation: a family booked for 6 p.m., a wedding-invitation get-together, and a writer who says booked tables are set in advance with a name card. That last writer has also walked in alone. Another suggests asking for a window table in the booking note.
  3. Three posts describe the walk. Two say to leave Seoul Station by exit 2, take the elevator next to the police box up onto Seoullo 7017 and cross; one of them got lost and took over 20 minutes but reckons it is under 10 once you know the way. The third measures 395 m from AREX exit 15.
  4. Two dishes are spicier than their names suggest. One post says the seafood Shanghai pasta is hot enough to skip if you avoid spice, and another says the gopchang carbonara has a chilli edge that cuts the cream.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Three posts describe the walk. Two say to leave Seoul Station by exit 2, take the elevator next to the police box up onto Seoullo 7017 and cross; one of them got lost and took over 20 minutes but reckons it is under 10 once you know the way. The third measures 395 m from AREX exit 15.

Getting inside

Second floor3 of 5 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 2 (of 5 posts read)
Toilet inside1 of 5 posts
Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 5 posts read)

There is no basement level: two posts walked in at ground level, and every post describes floors one to three.

No one says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pram gets in, and no one mentions an elevator. One post warns that the stairs to the second and third floors are fairly steep because it is a converted old building, so take care in heels. Assume the upper floors mean stairs.

Only one post describes the toilet: a clean unisex toilet inside on the second floor, so you do not have to leave the building. It is not split by gender. Nobody describes toilets on the other floors.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 25 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-152 posts in one day
2026-10-133 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Twenty-four of the 30 posts (2–16 October 2026) look like commissioned copy from one template: the same pub / vintage lounge / Namsan-view rooftop sequence, the same eleven-dish list, the same review-keyword phrases, and not a single price. Two still carry a pasted review-count widget. We did not count their praise for the staff, cleanliness or night view. They are the reason this place appears to have so many posts.
  • Only one post talks about waiting: the writer used to have to queue and once left after being given a cramped table, but on this early-October 2026 visit walked straight in. Another recommends booking because of the walk-in crowd. Nobody gives a waiting time.
  • Company varies: two posts went with friends, one with a family of four, one as a couple and one alone; the solo diner says eating and drinking alone felt perfectly natural. No post came with children.
  • Two posts give the same opening hours: Monday 17:30–24:00, Tuesday to Friday 11:30–24:00 with a 14:30–17:30 break, Saturday 13:00–24:00 and Sunday 13:00–23:00. One post lists closing as 23:00 on Monday and 23:50 Tuesday to Saturday. No post mentions a closing day. Three posts agree that lunch starts on Tuesday and that Monday is dinner only.
  • Only two posts, both from October 2026, give prices: spinach pizza 20,500 won in both, gopchang carbonara 19,500, ragù pasta 20,500, grilled-mushroom salad 17,500, house tteokbokki 15,500 and slush lager 7,000. Nobody gives a per-person total or calls it expensive or cheap. One post notes that water and cutlery are self-service.
  • The phone number, 0507-1316-2091, is the same in more than twenty posts. Three posts booked ahead, but none says whether that was by phone or through an app.
