ZION

자이온 Jaion Zion is the biblical name for the hill of Jerusalem; the posts never explain the choice, and the sign spells it ZION.

Compiled from 19 blog posts read in fullSources →

Zion sells American-style burgers on the fifth and sixth floors of a building tucked into an alley off Donhwamun-ro 4-gil, near Jongno 3-ga station. The first and second floors are Zion Taco House, listed as a separate business; burgers are ordered separately at a kiosk on the fifth floor. Posts give 8,900 won for the Zion burger alone and 13,800 won for the set. What people mention most is eating on the rooftop above the sixth floor, looking out over Jongmyo shrine, Sewoon Sangga and Namsan Tower. We read 30 posts dated 20 July to 8 October 2026; 19 record eating here (one of them at the old Deungchon-dong shop). Until July 2026 there was also a flagship in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, and in January 2026 the first two floors were a café rather than the taco shop.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Eleven posts went up to the rooftop. It sits one flight of stairs above the sixth floor: one post describes climbing a metal staircase, another a slightly scary set of stairs. The views named are Jongmyo, Sewoon Sangga and Namsan Tower. Four posts mention a separate terrace. Two ate indoors because of strong sun or heat.
  2. Six posts ordered at a kiosk. Tacos are ordered on the first floor and burgers on the fifth, and you can eat on any floor, but posts note having to order separately on each floor and shuttle up and down. Three posts mention an open kitchen.
  3. Six posts came by subway. One puts it two minutes from exit 12 of Jongno 3-ga station, though several say it is hard to find in the alleys.
  4. Opinions on salt split two to one: two posts found it not salty, one said the Slow Down burger was over-seasoned. Greasiness splits the same way: two said greasy, one said not.

  1. Price opinions split three to two: three found it a bit expensive, two called it reasonable or good value.

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 19 posts

One post says from experience that there is no parking of its own. Lines pointing to the Jongmyo public lot (400 won per 5 minutes) or the Sewoon Sangga lot are copied info, so we did not count them. Two posts came by car; one says the public lot was free after 7 pm.

Getting inside

Lift to the floor9 of 19 posts
Toilet inside1 of 19 posts
Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 19 posts read)

The only first-hand note on floors is taking the lift to the fifth floor. No one mentions basement seating, which means nobody wrote about it, not that there is none.

Nine posts took the lift up to the fifth floor, and several photographed its decorated interior.

None of the posts we counted mentions an entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Nine mention the lift, but three say the rooftop is reached by stairs from the sixth floor. One taco-shop post says wheelchairs can get in, but it belongs to that shop, so we did not count it.

Only one post describes the toilet: right next to the lift on the fifth floor, shared by men and women. Nobody wrote about toilets on other floors.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Until July 2026 there was a Zion flagship in a converted house in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, and one post says that shop, open until 18 July, moved to Jongno. But another post describes Jongno already selling burgers in January 2026, so we can't tell whether Jongno is new or the two shops merged. We kept the one meal at the Deungchon shop out of this shop's seating and parking counts.
  • The first two floors were a café in a January 2026 visit and a taco shop in posts from June 2026 on. Five posts that only ate tacos belong to that shop, and we did not count them here.
  • No post reports waiting. One says there was no real queue; two say lunchtime was packed with office workers, and one found a Tuesday evening quiet.
  • Eight posts give opening hours, all as copied info blocks. Seven say 11:00 to 21:00, Monday to Saturday, closed Sundays (five add last orders at 20:00); one says open daily.
  • Prices come from posts dated July to September 2026, and some single-item prices were copied from a list. Four posts give the same phone number, 0507-1441-3132, but none says whether reservations are taken.
