Hansel & Gretel

Hansel & Gretel is a bakery cafe on Supyo-ro 10-gil in Jung-gu, Seoul, down a printing-shop alley between Euljiro 3-ga and Chungmuro stations. The dim interior is themed on the Grimm fairy tale. You drink cream coffees with storybook names, like Hansel's Night at 7,000 won, and pick egg tarts, garlic salt bread and canelés from the display case. One table of four ordered four drinks and eight pastries and paid 54,000 won. We read 17 posts dated June 24 to October 16, 2026; 14 of them describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The egg tart came up more than anything else here: ten posts named it and seven ate it on the spot. Four posts got one free by leaving a receipt review (one dated the event as of July 31). One post called the tart Portuguese-style; another tasted what seemed like chestnut at the bottom.
- Both posts that described the seating said there was plenty of it. One listed bar seats, tables for two, three and four, and a group table. The other found mostly two-to-four-person tables, one sofa spot at the back and solo seats along the window. Two posts called the room spacious; one said it wasn't especially large. One post noted there is no kiosk — you order at the counter inside.
- Two posts called it quiet: one, visiting around 8 p.m. on a weekday, said it was good for a calm late conversation, and another said it was quiet enough to talk easily. Two posts mention sitting there around 8 p.m.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 12 posts read) |
|---|
No post describes which floor the cafe is on from experience; only the address says ground floor.
No post mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — that means nobody wrote about it, not that there is none. One post describes the entrance as a black wooden door.
One post notes the toilet is outside the cafe, and a copied listing block says it is in the building — so probably a shared toilet in the building rather than one inside the shop. No one says whether it is separated by gender or how big it is.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 15 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Go late and the bread is gone. A post from 6:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, two from around 8 p.m., and one that arrived after the bakery had nearly sold out all said most of the bread was gone. Another saw sold-out items on a weekday afternoon, and one said that by about 1 p.m. the room was full and much of the bread had sold out.
- Menu prices did not change across the posts from June to October; four posts gave Hansel's Night as 7,000 won. Signature drinks run 5,500 to 7,000 won and pastries 3,500 to 4,000 won, so one drink plus one pastry comes to a little over 10,000 won. One post found the drinks pricey, and the same post said it wasn't memorable enough to come back.
- Twelve posts give the same opening hours, 10:00 to 23:00, but nearly all of them copied the map listing. A 22:30 last order appears only in one post that copied Kakao Map, and no post mentions a closing day.
- Four posts list the phone number as 010-2712-3026; one, citing the map listing, gives 010-2907-1923. No one wrote about making a reservation — the word appears only in copied listing blocks.
- One post describes walking from Exit 11 of Euljiro 3-ga Station and found it easy to reach. The other directions, like four minutes from Exit 9 or 347 m from Exit 11, are mostly copied from map listings. One post advises using a map the first time because the cafe is tucked inside an alley. Nobody mentions arriving by bus.
- No post mentions waiting in line. One weekday visit around 8 p.m. found plenty of free seats. We don't know whether there is a queue at lunch or on weekends.
- One post from October 16, 2026 says it paid its own way, but it reads like promotional copy — it still talks about new menus 'coming in September' — so we did not rely on its praise. Two posts mention a brunch menu due in early September, but only as something they had been told; no post says it actually launched.
