Kim's Chicken sits on a corner by Gate 4 inside Jayang Traditional Market in Gwangjin-gu, selling dakgangjeong and fried chicken. Sauced dakgangjeong is 9,000 won medium, 13,000 large and 17,000 extra-large; a whole bone-in fried chicken is 9,900 and an old-style whole chicken 7,000. What sets it apart
- Chicken is par-fried ahead and fried again when you order. Fifteen posts saw it re-fried or tossed in sauce to order; the sauced pieces go onto a hot griddle with the glaze. Nineteen posts called it crisp, and several said it stayed crisp an hour later or the next day.
- There is a line, but it moves. Six posts queued. A regular of five-plus visits gives 5 to 10 minutes after 6 pm and around 20 on holidays; a Saturday-noon visitor describes paying, taking a number and collecting when it is called. One post waited about ten minutes for bone-in chicken fried to order.
- It looks like a takeaway counter, but there is a dining room behind. Fourteen posts noted seating, put at about five four-person tables or five to six tables. Two called it roomy, two small. Only one post actually ate a few pieces there; four noticed draft beer.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Most posts give 9,900 won for the bone-in fried chicken; one paid 9,000 despite the 9,900 sign. Another says takeaway is cheaper, without saying by how much.
- Heat depends on the level chosen. Eight posts found it spicy, four did not. One likened the medium to Shin Ramyun; another found the same medium barely spicy and rather sweet. One post warned parents of a slight kick even in the plain chicken.
- Three posts said it is walkable from Guui Station Exit 4, put at about 11 minutes or 600 m. Several advised heading for the market's Gate 4.
- Few posts say who they came with: one with family, two as couples, one by car, none with friends. Most took the food home or to the river.
- Three posts saw an origin board. One read the boneless pieces as Brazilian and Thai chicken; another wrote domestic chicken. Bone-in and boneless may differ, but we cannot tell.
- Several posts call the Jayang shop fairly new. Claims that it carries on a Myeonmok Market stall or has 15 years of history come from the shop's own signage or hearsay, so we don't rely on them. One post had eaten at another Kim's Chicken branch.
