평안도족발집 Pyeongan-do is a province in what is now North Korea and jokbal is braised pig's trotters, so the name reads 'the Pyeongan-do trotter house'.

A trotter house tucked down a side lane of the Jangchung-dong jokbal alley near Dongguk University Station exit 3, rather than on the main road. The menu is three things: jokbal, buckwheat noodles and mung-bean pancake. Board prices are 30,000 won small, 40,000 medium, 50,000 large and 60,000 extra-large, with noodles (mixed or cold broth) and pancake at 8,000 each; several posts note only the extra-large is front leg. Lettuce, radish salad, ssamjang, garlic, chilli, seasoned salted shrimp and slushy dongchimi come with every table. We read 27 posts dated 16 August to 25 October 2026; 23 describe an actual meal there.

What sets it apart
- Two people may not be allowed a medium. One post, arriving just before 8 pm with two of a party of three, was told orders start at the three-person large. Two other posts had a medium between two people, on a weekday evening and at 5:30 pm, so we cannot say this is a fixed rule.
- Only one post waited: almost 30 minutes on an October weekend afternoon, with a paper list of real names rather than numbers, so you stand by it with no idea how many groups are ahead. Five walked straight in, at 5 pm, 5:30 pm, on a weekday evening, before Friday dinner, and just before 8 pm. One post saw the last free tables fill within ten minutes of 5:30; another says the whole party must be there before you are seated.
- Six posts say the first round of sides is brought to you and refills come from a self-serve bar. One notes dongchimi and salted shrimp are served one per person; another found the bar kept clean throughout. Water is self-serve too.
- Five posts found the trotters lightly seasoned and four noted no porky smell. The noodles divide opinion: two found them bland, one only getting them right after adding vinegar, mustard and then sugar, while another found them sweet straight from the kitchen.

One post confirms there is no lot: the husband went off to park some distance away. Another parked at Jangchung public car park and paid under 5,000 won for several hours with a low-emission discount. The widely repeated note about one hour's free parking at Jangchung car park (not for takeaway) is copied information; no post says they actually used it.

Seating is on two floors. One post describes a ground and upper floor with the ground floor split into two rooms; another was sent upstairs via narrow, steep stairs it thought hard for older knees. A third was seated in an annex next door when the main room was full. Six posts call the place roomy or say it has plenty of seats.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair gets in. That means unknown, not absent. One post found the stairs to the upper floor narrow and steep.
No post mentions where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender.

What we do not know
- All opening hours are copied from info blocks. Six posts give 11:00-21:00, closed Mondays; one says it opens at noon. Last order is 20:10 in four posts and 20:20 on one post's photo of the menu board. Several mention closing early when the day's trotters run out.
- Prices did not change across posts from August to October 2026. One post works out a medium with one noodle bowl at 48,000 won and a large with two at 66,000; soju and beer are 5,000. One post repeats hearsay that it is a little pricier than neighbours, which we do not count.
- Five posts give the phone number as 0507-1322-9759; one gives 02-2279-9759. No post says whether reservations are taken.
- Corkage at 20,000 won for wine and 30,000 for whisky appears in one post as something heard; nobody actually brought a bottle.
