A bossam house on Janghan-ro 160 in Jangan-dong, Dongdaemun: boiled pork wrapped in kimchi made with squid and cockles, plus scallion kimchi, with a seafood pancake on the side. A medium bossam is 55,000 won and the seafood pancake 23,000 won. Two posts from July and September 2026 say the place recently moved to a bigger spot, and every post we have is from the new one. We read 4 posts dated June 28 to September 21, 2026, all from actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. All four posts say the portions are large. Two ordered a medium bossam for two, left food behind, and say a small is enough for two; the wall reportedly suggests small for two, medium for three, large for four. One describes the kimchi arriving piled up like a mountain.
  2. Expect to wait in the evening. Three posts waited: 10 minutes arriving around 7:10 on a Thursday, 30 minutes to an hour on a weekday evening, and an hour after 7 on a weekend. The one weekday-lunch visit walked straight in. Two posts recommend joining the queue remotely on CatchTable.
  3. All four posts mention takeaway. Two took leftovers home, one noting it was free and that staff added extra kimchi; one lists kimchi alone to go at 15,000 won. One post that had ordered takeaway many times says the packed pork was all lean meat and recommends eating in.
  4. Two posts say the pork has no off smell; a third agrees while it is hot but notes a slight smell once it cools.

Getting inside

No post describes the floor from experience; only the address says ground floor.

No post mentions a step at the door or wheelchair or stroller access. That does not mean there is a problem; nobody wrote about it, so we don't know.

No post says where the restroom is or whether it is separated by gender. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Two posts from July and September 2026 say the restaurant moved to a larger space, but none gives the old address or the date; we only know it was before July 2026. One says the new spot is cleaner and easier to park at.
  • Only one post covers transit: about 15 minutes by bus and on foot from Janghanpyeong Station on Line 5, and it calls the place hard to reach.
  • Only one post says who it went with — friends, for evening drinks. We can't say how it suits families or children.
  • Two posts discuss service. One found the staff friendly; the other says on a first visit staff pushed their table aside without a word to seat a group, but this time they were kind.
  • Two posts give the same opening hours, 12:20 to 22:30 with Sundays off, but both look copied from a listing. No post mentions a break time or last order.
  • Two posts agree a medium bossam is 55,000 won; nobody lists the small or large price, and no post totals a meal. One pair ordered a medium bossam, a potato pancake, soju and cola, which adds up to 85,000 won.
  • No post gives a phone number. One copied line says phone reservations are possible, but nobody wrote about actually booking.
