Lippy&Co.

리피앤코 Ripiaenko Lippy is Australian and British slang for lipstick; the house explains the name as everyone having their own shade, like lipstick.

Compiled from 30 blog posts read in fullSources →

Lippy & Co. is a brunch café by day and wine bar by night on the ground floor of Itaewon-ro 19-gil 20, a short uphill walk from Exit 1 of Itaewon Station. Daytime brings French toast (12,000 won), strawberry pancakes and open sandwiches; evenings bring honey cod with leeks (35,000 won), lemon butter pasta (23,000 won) and perilla shrimp risotto (25,000 won) alongside cocktails and wine. You order by scanning a QR code at the table and pay on the way out. We read 30 posts from December 2025 to October 2026, and all 30 describe an actual visit. Five disclose sponsorship or an invitation, two say the writer paid, and the other 23 say nothing either way.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. A dog lives here. Twenty-three of the 30 posts mention the house Pomeranian, three of them by name (Hodu). Most describe it wandering under tables and bringing toys to play with; one post says it doesn't roam. Others note that it never goes into the kitchen and retreats to its own spot when the room fills up. One writer brought their own dog along and ate with it.
  2. Nineteen posts mention the outdoor terrace out front. One says it seats up to eight and can be requested when booking; another found the outdoor seats hotly contested on a sunny weekend. One describes it as not very large.
  3. Twelve posts say warm bread arrives first, many noting house-made truffle butter with it; one counted two slices of sourdough and noted that more bread costs 6,000 won. Several posts also mention candy left out at the till.
  4. Everyone has to order a drink. Five posts mention the rule, and two say that in the evening it has to be alcoholic. Several writers met it with alcohol-free wine or a virgin mojito.

  1. Twelve posts say ordering is by QR code at the table. Some note you pay at the end, and one says the printed menu is in English but the QR menu has photos and descriptions.
  2. Eleven posts mention the open kitchen, several adding that the cooking area looked tidy. Nine called the place clean, some of them on the strength of the restroom.
  3. Eight posts booked through CatchTable or Naver, and some found the table already set on arrival. Several posts mention a free roast cabbage (16,000 won) for booking via CatchTable or leaving a review; three say they actually received it for a review.
  4. There is a DJ booth inside. Two posts heard a staff member DJing, and one saw only the equipment and guessed it runs on weekends. Three posts found it quiet enough to talk during brunch or early evening, so the noise level depends on when you go.
  5. Opinions on portions differ: four posts found them generous (one was full after half a sandwich; the mini sashimi fed two), while one said portions are not especially large.
  6. Views on size differ too: five posts found it roomy with well-spaced tables, two called it small. Many mention a large group table at the back.
  7. Ten posts describe going with friends and eight with a partner or spouse.

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 30 posts

Many posts say there is no parking, but mostly in copied info blocks. Two speak from experience: one found the public lot a fair walk away, another said parking nearby was a bit hard. Many suggest the paid Kakao Avenue 123 lot or the Itaewon 2-dong public lot.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 2 (of 30 posts read)
Toilet inside5 of 30 posts
Separate restrooms3 of 30 posts

Two posts say first-hand that it is at street level; none mention stairs or a lift.

Nobody wrote from experience about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. A line saying strollers are welcome comes from the shop's own description, so we did not count it. Several posts mention a short uphill walk from the station. This means no one reported it, not that it isn't so.

Five posts say the restroom is inside the premises and three say it is split by gender; one notes the women's room is at the back.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • We know little about waits. Only one post addresses it — seated straight away just after 6 pm on a weekday — and another found the room fairly full around 1 pm on a weekend. No post says how long a weekend evening wait might be.
  • Prices have gone up. A March 2026 post had lemon butter pasta at 19,000 won and strawberry pancakes at 15,000; an April post had the pancakes at 18,000; posts from May on have the pasta at 23,000; a July post has the pancakes at 20,000. Five posts put the honey cod at 35,000 won. Two writers totted up meals for two at 70,000 and 83,000 won, and two called it expensive, one saying it's on the high side even for Itaewon.
  • All opening hours in these posts are copied from listings. Thirteen agree on Wed–Thu 12:00–22:00 and Fri–Sun 12:00–24:00 with a 16:00–17:00 break, and every post that mentions closing days says Monday and Tuesday. But one October 2026 post lists Wed–Fri 17:00–23:00, Sat 15:00–24:00 and Sun 15:00–22:00, which would mean no weekday brunch; with only one post we can't confirm it. One other post gives an 11:30 pm close on Fri–Sun.
  • Thirteen posts give the phone number as 0507-1371-5653; one gives 070-4010-5653. Every booking described went through CatchTable or Naver; none by phone.
  • Seven posts look like they share a template — the same set of five hashtags or the same map link pasted four times. One still contains a stray instruction tag after a sentence. All describe a meal, so we counted them, but they may be commissioned. Claims about a Michelin-trained chef, a Sydney bartender and the meaning of the name come from the shop's own blurb, and we did not rely on them.
