Motel Cotton is a cafe and bar in a converted house, up a lane between Noksapyeong station and Gyeongnidan-gil. The name says inn, but nobody sleeps here: it pours coffee and tea by day and drinks with small plates in the evening. The licence is filed under Haenginsuk (PROJECT Mokhwajang); the sign and the Instagram say Mokhwajang Yeogwan — Motel Cotton. Each room is done in its own colours and furniture, like guest rooms in an old hotel, down to a bed you can sit on, plus a terrace outside. It opened in October 2025; the posts we read run from January to August 2026.

Getting inside

Not one post mentions a step, a ramp or a stair. Several say it is a converted house up a sloping lane, but nobody looked at whether a wheelchair or a pushchair gets in. That is not a no — it is a gap in what we counted.

Of the 14 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

• We have not read a single account of this place at night. Many posts say it turns into a bar in the evening, and several read wine, beer and small plates off the board — but nobody in what we read came back after dark to drink. Several posts end by saying they'd like to. What the evening food is, what it costs, and what the room is like then are all things we do not know.
• Nobody looked at the toilet. One post lists "toilet inside, shared between men and women," but that line too is part of a copied block alongside reservations, groups and parking. No post reports actually using it, so we do not know where it is or what it is like.
• Nobody brought a pet. Four posts carry "pets welcome," all of it copied, and not one describes turning up with a dog or a cat. Whether you actually can, and which seats it covers, we could not confirm.
• The opening hours differ from post to post — less a disagreement than a moving target. A January post has it open daily at 10:00 with a 17:30–19:00 break; April and May posts say noon; July and August posts split by weekday, with Wednesday to Friday from 15:00 and Tuesday not until 19:00. Closing has gone the other way: two posts have Saturday running to 1am. Only the Monday closure is steady, in four posts. Worth checking before you go.
