Wageul Wageul Bakeshop Ikseon
와글와글베이크샵 익선 Wageul-wageul is the Korean sound of a crowd buzzing and chattering, so the name reads roughly as 'the bustling bake shop'; Ikseon marks the Ikseon-dong branch.

A bakery-cafe in a hanok on the Ikseon-dong lanes near Jongno 3-ga Station, opened on 1 August 2026. Its signature is the 'crowagle', croissant dough baked in a bagel shape. You pick bread onto a tray, pay at the counter, and sit in the courtyard or indoors; several posts mention a microwave for reheating your own bread. Crowagles run from 5,000 won for the plain one to 8,800 won for double cheese bacon, and an americano is 5,500 won. Three posts note an earlier branch at Dongdaemun (Euljiro). We read 30 posts dated 8 September to 9 October 2026; three were about other shops (two the Dongdaemun branch, one another bakery) and were set aside, and 25 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- This is a place to sit in the courtyard. Of the 25 visit posts, 13 describe outdoor seats in the open-roofed central yard, and several ate out there. Two September posts said it was still too hot outside and moved indoors.
- Four posts mention floor seating. One says the raised seats where you take your shoes off are only for groups of three or more; another calls the four-person floor table the best seat in the house.
- Six posts remark on how many foreign visitors were there, and one notes the menu outside is written in several languages.
- Of the 25 visit posts, 23 ordered coffee. Several mention that switching to decaf costs nothing extra, including posts by people who went in the afternoon or evening and ordered decaf themselves.
1 more
- Four posts mention a Naver review event; the free item differed by post, an iced peach tea in some and a mini ice-cream crowagle in another.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
1 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor level or any stairs from experience; only the address says '1st floor'. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there are none.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. It is a converted hanok and some seats are raised floor seating where you remove your shoes. One post went with a child but said nothing about a stroller.
Nobody wrote about where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on price split three to one: three posts called it reasonable for Ikseon-dong, while one said two americanos and two pastries came to about 26,000 won, close to the price of a whole fried chicken.
- Three posts found it quiet; one, visiting over the Chuseok holiday, said it felt lively rather than calm. Busy days may differ.
- Seven visit posts make the same points in the same order (a 1929 hanok, folk paintings of crowagles by Mugyeonhoe artists, water features and landscaping, free decaf switch, breakfast), and five share an identical hashtag line. None discloses sponsorship, but they look like they come from one brief, so weigh their praise of the space accordingly.
- No post reports queuing. One guessed there might be a wait at weekends, and a few said it was crowded enough to grab a seat first, or busy over Chuseok. Two posts found many crowagles sold out in the evening or late on a weekend.
- Nineteen visit posts give the same hours, 07:30 to 21:00 daily, but most copied them from the listing. One says it is open every day of the year; none mentions a break or last order.
- Many posts copy the phone number 02-763-0337, but none says whether reservations are taken.
