Rain Report Rainbow
레인리포트 레인보우 Rein Ripoteu Reinbou Rain Report is the brand's name for its artificial-rain concept — water falls year-round over the courtyard pond of this hanok — and Rainbow is this Ikseon-dong branch's theme of brightly coloured desserts.

A hanok café tucked into the Ikseon-dong lanes, built around a courtyard pond where artificial rain falls all year. You order drinks at the counter, pick desserts from the display, and wait for a buzzer. Long black 6,800 won, latte 7,300, signature drinks 7,800, cakes 8,800–10,000, and the tub-shaped 'wakppu' dessert 14,500. We read 30 posts from 25 March to 8 October 2026; 20 describe an actual visit (the earliest in December 2025). Two posts about other branches were discarded, and eight lists, write-ups or non-visits were not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Three kinds of seat: a bar facing the courtyard rain, regular tables, and an annex with a small terrace. Eight posts mention finding a seat, and one calls the bar the most popular spot. Three say the chairs are uncomfortable — wobbly, not somewhere to linger. Several found it nearly full even on a weekday lunchtime.
- There's a review promotion at the counter: five posts say they got a free dessert for posting a review, usually the 4,800-won heart madeleine, and one says it was a scone as of August 2026.
- Of eight posts that reached a verdict on price, six found it expensive. One disagreed outright, and one thought the drinks were pricey but the cups generous. One family put four drinks and two desserts at about 50,000 won; three friends paid 31,400 won.
- Four posts remark on how many foreign visitors there were; one notes the menu prints English larger than Korean.

- Two posts give directions from Jongno 3-ga station — about three minutes on foot from exit 6, or via exits 4 or 6.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Two posts give directions from Jongno 3-ga station — about three minutes on foot from exit 6, or via exits 4 or 6.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 17 posts |
|---|
No post says what floor the café is on or whether there are stairs. That doesn't mean there are none — nobody wrote about it.
Nobody mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. The way in crosses stepping stones over the courtyard; one December 2025 visitor found them very slippery, floors inside included, and another saw water leaking onto the annex floor.
Two posts say the toilet is inside the café; one adds it's small for the crowd, so there was a queue for it. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post reports waiting for a table. One walked straight in at 12:30 on a public-holiday Monday; another guessed the cramped layout causes waits. Some mention a queue for the courtyard photo spot instead.
- Opinions on size split: one post found it roomier than it looks from outside, two found it cramped, especially around the counter when takeaway customers pile up.
- Staff: one post found them very friendly, another not especially so. A third says they were too busy to flag down.
- Six posts found the dessert display mostly sold out, generally in the late afternoon or evening — one says everything was gone.
- The rain effect varies with the season: in December 2025 the pond was frozen and the rain seemed to be off, and in January 2026 one visitor saw snow, not water, released at set times by the entrance.
- Some prices have gone up: the Mont Blanc butter cake was 9,000 won in posts up to April 2026 and 9,500 won in October. Most other prices come from a single October post's copy of the menu.
- Eleven posts give the same opening hours, 10:30–20:30 with last orders at 20:00, but all copied them from a listing; none confirms them first-hand, and none mentions a closing day.
- The phone number, 02-763-8877, is copied in several posts. None says whether the café takes reservations.
