Maison de Paris
빠리가옥 Ppari Gaok Ppari is a playful Korean spelling of Paris and gaok means a house — a Paris house in a hanok; the restaurant's own blog renders the name Maison de Paris.
Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →
Ppari Gaok is a French bistro in a converted hanok deep in the Ikseon-dong lanes. People order escargots, onion soup and beef bourguignon à la carte with wine by the glass; one couple paid 87,000 won for a starter, two mains, a dessert and two glasses, another 40,000 won for two dishes and a starter. We read 30 posts from 10 August to 9 October 2026; 14 describe eating here (one recalls Christmas 2025, one a February 2026 visit). Of the rest, 7 are the restaurant's own blog, 5 are multi-restaurant lists and 4 cover same-name food-court counters at The Hyundai Seoul and Lotte's main store, which we left out.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You walk from the subway. Six posts found it on foot from Jongno 3-ga station, via exit 4 or exit 6, about three minutes; one added that coming by car is awkward.
- The window seats are the draw. Four posts wrote about light and windows — a glass roof that floods the room with daylight, folding windows opened onto the lane. Another found the window seats already full.
- Five posts booked ahead through Naver or Catch Table; one walked straight in. One post says Christmas night 2025 was reservation-only.
- On queues it is one post each way. Over the Chuseok holiday, even people with bookings were lined up before the 11:30 opening, and arriving ten minutes early got the second table. On the 5 October holiday Monday at 2:30 pm, another found it nearly empty.
5 more
- There are freebies: two posts got escargots for a receipt review and onion soup from a Naver alert coupon. The listing says the escargot offer runs to 28 October.
- No post called it expensive; five said the price was fair. Weekday lunch prices cut the vongole from 17,000 to 11,000 won and the Provençal pizza from 19,000 to 14,000 won. The menu says weekday lunch orders close at 14:40 and exclude weekends and holidays.
- Four posts had wine by the glass; one notes a list arranged by French region, from 5,500 won a glass.
- Three posts said it was quiet enough to talk; one went on a weekend evening and still found it not too busy.
- Four posts came as couples, two with family (a mother; both parents), one with a friend.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
You walk from the subway. Six posts found it on foot from Jongno 3-ga station, via exit 4 or exit 6, about three minutes; one added that coming by car is awkward.
Getting inside
We don't know about floors. The address says ground floor, but no post described the level or any stairs — not absent, just unmentioned.
We don't know about the threshold or wheelchair and stroller access. It is a hanok, but no post mentioned the doorway; the house blog's 'strollers OK' refers to a nearby palace.
No post said where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender; the two that did were about the department-store counters.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 12 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

| 2026-09-24 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Three posts found the food ordinary — nothing that felt award-worthy, plain home cooking, a Christmas course that was merely fine; that last writer would not go back.
- One post said the food came very slowly; no other post mentioned timing.
- Eight posts give the same opening hours, all copied from the listing: 11:30–22:00, a 15:00–17:00 weekday break, no break on weekends and holidays, last orders 14:30 and 21:30. The restaurant says it never closes and stayed open over Chuseok.
- Four posts list the phone as 0507-1418-1626; one list gives 02-6083-1626 and one post 0507-1408-3519. Reservations go through Naver and Catch Table.
- Five visit posts appeared within days of each other with the same phrases ('French owner-chef since 2017', Blue Ribbon) and the same info blocks. None disclosed sponsorship, but they look templated. Two posts said they paid their own way.
