Jayeondo Sogeumppang & Jayeondoga

자연도소금빵&자연도가 Sogeumppang means salt bread, the only bread sold here; posts say the brand began at Gueup ferry pier on Yeongjong Island in Incheon, and Jayeondoga is the drinks counter with a courtyard beside the bakery.

A salt-bread shop in the hanok alleys of Ikseon-dong, behind Jongno 3-ga station, that sells exactly one thing: salt bread, four to a bag for 12,000 won, no singles. You pay at a kiosk outside first, then take your ticket to a separate pickup line. The bakery itself has no seats; Jayeondoga next door sells coffee and a pear drink, and you can sit in its hanok courtyard. We read 16 posts dated October 1 to October 9, 2026. We set aside two about other branches (Eulwangni and Gwangalli) and three Seoul bakery round-ups that only copied listing details, leaving 11 first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect a line. Six of the 11 visits mention one, and one more says the line is usually long but hers wasn't. Waits vary: someone who timed the 12:30 weekend batch spent 2 minutes at the kiosk and 5 in the pickup line; someone who came around 7 p.m. walked straight up and got the last 6:30 batch; someone who came at 2:30 p.m. over the Chuseok holiday gave up because the line was too long. One post says the line peaks right when a batch comes out, so arrive 10 to 15 minutes early.
  2. Paying and picking up are separate lines. Four visits paid at the kiosk, and four describe the two lines. One explains that Samsung Pay and cards go through the kiosk while Apple Pay and cash go to the counter, and says she saw people waste time by joining the pickup line first.
  3. Seating means the hanok courtyard next door. Five visits sat there or saw people sitting there; two mention the tree in the middle and sparrows picking up crumbs. One post says there were no seats so she took her bread out, and a group on a weekend couldn't find room. One notes that since it's outdoors, it would be too cold in deep winter.
  4. Most people take it to go. Six visits took bags away, and posts note that the string-tied paper bag is easy to carry. Three reheated the rolls in an air fryer the next day.

  1. No one calls it expensive; two posts say it's good value or not a strain. One does point out that because it only comes in fours, it's a lot for someone on their own.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No one described the floor level or any stairs from experience; the 1st-floor label comes only from copied addresses.

Nobody mentioned an entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that it's a problem.

No post says whether there is a restroom or where it is.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 14 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-082 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Four posts give the same hours, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, but all copied from listing blocks. Closing early when the bread runs out is hearsay, and the batch times (9:00, 12:30, 2:00, 3:30, 5:00, 6:30) are a posted schedule, not something anyone timed.
  • Three posts give the same phone number, 02-743-2245. One mentions hearing that reservations are possible, but no one actually booked. Drink prices come from a single post's menu list.
  • Most posts praise the butter flavor, but one says it can feel a little greasy by the third roll. A post about the Gwangalli branch compared it to a buttered dinner roll; we didn't count it, since it's a different shop.
