Cheongsudang
청수당 Cheongsudang can be read as 'hall of clear water' (cheongsu, clear water; dang, hall), which fits the bamboo path, pond and stepping stones visitors walk through.

Cheongsudang is a hanok bakery-cafe deep in the Ikseon-dong lanes off Donhwamun-ro 11na-gil, across from Oncheonjip. You walk in along a bamboo path and stepping stones over a pond, and two posts say to claim a seat before ordering. Prices visitors wrote down: matcha fromage cake 15,800 won, strawberry fromage cake 19,800 won, stone drip coffee 6,500 won, stone drip egg coffee 7,800 won, volcanic-stone matcha ice cream 9,800 won. We read 30 posts dated 29 September to 9 October 2026; 10 of them describe an actual visit. We set aside 4 posts about the Aewol, Gimpo and Changwon branches and 2 posts that were really about other businesses.

What sets it apart
- There are fish in the pond. Five of the ten visits mention them — koi and goldfish under the entrance stepping stones, and more koi in the pond along the path from the main building to the annexes.
- It is crowded but large. Three visitors called it big, one noting a seat 'comes up soon' because the place is so roomy. One Saturday visitor at about 3:30 pm found the main building full but two annexes with two or three two-person tables free each. Another mentioned sunny floor seating.
- Of four posts that touch on waiting, two say they waited for a table to free up; neither gave a time. One visitor on a weekday afternoon before the Chuseok holiday found every seat taken.
- Two of the three posts that discuss price found it high — one groaned at 19,800 won for the strawberry cake, another said prices run 'a bit high'. A slice of cake and a drink comes to roughly 22,000 to 30,000 won.
1 more
- Three visits were with family — one with an 85-year-old grandmother, one with a younger sibling, one with an older sister. Two were with friends and one was a date.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post says what floor the seating is on or whether there are stairs — not that there are none, just that nobody wrote it down.
Nobody reports getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. The entrance is a path of round stepping stones over water, and the visitor who came with her 85-year-old grandmother warned to watch your footing. No one mentioned a step at the door.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 14 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Not a quiet spot: one Saturday visitor described it as buzzing and noisy, and no one called it quiet.
- One visitor complained the wooden chairs have a bolt-upright back; no other post mentioned the chairs.
- None of the visitors described the walk from a station or bus stop; the 'near Jongno 3-ga station' line comes only from list posts.
- Two visitors copied opening hours, and they disagree on closing: 19:00 (last order 18:30) versus 20:00 (last order 19:30). Both say it opens at 10:30. List posts add 18:30 and 21:00 to the mix.
- Two posts copied the number 0507-1318-8215. No one said whether reservations are taken.
- Nearly half the posts about this place are neighbourhood or cafe round-ups by people who did not visit, copying hours, prices and parking from listings — one still carries its AI image captions. We did not count them.
