왕십리맛나곱창 Matna means 'tasty' and gopchang is grilled beef or pork small intestine; Wangsimni is the neighborhood, known for its gopchang alley.

Compiled from 3 blog posts read in fullSources →

A gopchang (grilled intestine) house at the start of the Gosanja-ro gopchang alley, right next to Jeil Gopchang, a 5–6 minute walk from Wangsimni Station exit 2. Staff grill and cut the beef intestine at your table, while pork dishes such as vegetable gopchang and seasoned makchang arrive already cooked on foil. Meals end with fried rice with flying-fish roe (3,000 won). We read 30 posts from April to October 2026; 27 of them were paid pieces written to the same template, and we did not count them. Only three posts let us count what the writer actually experienced, and every number below comes from those three.

What sets it apart

  1. Staff grill the beef intestine for you. Both posts that ordered it said staff cooked it on the grill and cut it with scissors, and one was told it could be eaten after two minutes. The one post that ordered the pork dishes liked that they arrive fully cooked, but noted the seasoned makchang still needs turning as it heats — theirs burned when they forgot.
  2. Ordering beef intestine brings extras. Two posts wrote that a peppery fish-cake broth with green chili came as the default soup and that omasum was served free with the beef intestine — both were beef-intestine orders. The post that ordered vegetable gopchang called the side dishes plain.
  3. All three visitors said there was no off smell — two about the beef intestine and heart, one about the vegetable gopchang. Two also said it was not greasy.
  4. Two posts give prices. A May 2026 post paid 31,000 won per portion of beef intestine (62,000 for two) plus 3,000 for fried rice; a June post's receipt shows two portions of vegetable gopchang for 30,000, seasoned makchang 16,000, a bottle of Jinro soju 5,000 and fried rice 3,000 — 54,000 won in all. That writer said the prices are low, so don't expect much from the side dishes.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 3 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 3 posts

No visitor said which floor it is on or whether there are stairs. The address says ground floor, but no visitor confirmed it.

Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access — that means we don't know, not that there is none.

One post noted the restroom is inside the restaurant and separated by gender. It is the only post that mentions the restroom.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 27 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • We set aside 27 template posts. Published between 3 August and 25 October 2026, 25 of them disclose payment and two say nothing, but all paste the same Naver review-count widget and repeat the same lines about the district-office parking lot, takeout and opening hours. Phrases like 'the menu board in the image' and 'you can tell from the photo that the tables are well spaced' suggest they were written from supplied photos, and none gives a single price. The spacious, friendly, no-wait claims they repeat are treated as copied material, not evidence.
  • We don't know about waits. One post guessed that Friday and Saturday nights have a queue and a waiting area, but no visitor reported waiting. A June visitor who came early on a Sunday evening said the half-empty room filled up quickly.
  • The three visitors went with different company — one with a friend by car, one with a boyfriend, one didn't say. No one went with children.
  • Opening hours don't agree. The May post's header says noon to midnight daily; the June post lists noon on Wednesday to Sunday and 5 pm on Monday and Tuesday, with last orders at 10:30 pm — both look copied from a listing. The template posts repeat noon to midnight, last order 10:50 pm, closed Mondays, but we didn't count them. Check before you go.
  • Prices come only from two posts in May and June 2026. We don't know the prices of the hot pot, sundae gopchang or half-and-half makchang, or whether anything has changed since.
  • The phone number 0507-1490-3381 appears only in two template posts, not in any visitor's post, and no visitor said whether reservations are taken.
