슬로우야드 바베큐 Seullouyadeu Babekyu Slowyard joins 'slow' and 'yard': the house says the name comes from low-and-slow wood smoking, and the building sits behind its own front garden yard.

A two-storey standalone building with its own front garden at Poeun-ro 7, about five minutes' walk from Hapjeong Station exit 8, serving oak-smoked Texas-style barbecue. Dinner is shared platters upstairs: the Smoke Platter for one or two at 48,000 won, the Slowyard Platter for two or three at 74,000, the Party Platter for four or five at 117,000. Many writers tucked the meat and coleslaw into the mini buns. On weekday lunchtimes the ground floor runs a separate lunch deli with 11,000-won pulled-pork and Jamaican-chicken bowls. We read 30 posts dated 7 June to 10 October 2026; 24 describe an actual meal (the rest are TV-location guides, listicles and photo dumps).

What sets it apart
- Space is what people mention most: thirteen posts call it roomy, seven mention the big windows onto the garden, three the high ceilings. An 11-person family sat at three pushed-together tables, an office group of eight ate here, and one post mentions a separate private room. Noise is split: two found it quiet, one said voices echoed so much it was hard to call staff.
- The platters run larger than they look. Six posts call the portions big; one says two women left food behind, another that the Party Platter was plenty for four. Three thought it looked small at first and stopped short of a verdict. The two posts that found portions small were both about the lunch-deli sandwiches and bowls.
- The shrimp arrabbiata is genuinely hot. Three posts call it spicy, all about this tomato pasta: one said it made her ears hurt, another found it hotter than Yeul Ramen. The menu marks it with two chilies. The family with a toddler chose the mild lemon-cream pasta instead.

Unusually for Hapjeong, you can park here. Nine posts say they parked or that parking works, and four say they drove. Two give a size: "up to 8 cars" and "about 10". Two others warn that the four roadside bays beside the building are not the restaurant's and can earn a fine, and one says staff pointed them to a paid lot when it was full.

The two floors do different jobs. Twelve posts mention the upstairs. Barbecue is eaten on the second floor; the ground floor is the weekday lunch-deli room. A June and an August post were sent upstairs even with the ground floor empty, and a September post says meals are upstairs only. One writer notes the lunch deli is order-at-the-counter, with trays bussed to a return station downstairs.
Most dining is on the second floor, yet no post says how you get up there (stairs or a lift), and none mentions a basement.
Nobody mentions an entrance step, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift. Two posts came with toddlers but neither mentions a stroller. We simply don't know.
Only two posts mention the toilets: one says they are on the second floor and separated by gender, the other that there are several single-occupancy rooms.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post reports slow food: at an office dinner of eight, an extra platter took almost an hour because the order had been dropped. That post and one other say there are no call buttons on the tables. One lunch-deli post says the food came quickly.
- No post describes queueing. One walked in at the 11:30 weekday opening, another booked for 1 p.m. on a Sunday and went straight in. Five posts booked or mention booking; one couple who walked in on a weekend got the last table. That is not proof there is never a line, only that nobody wrote about one.
- Four posts arrived by public transport, two by bus and two on foot from Hapjeong Station. The 344 m, five-minute figure from exit 8 is copied across many posts.
- Eleven posts list opening hours, all copied from listings: 11:30-22:00, break 15:00-17:30, last order 21:30, closed Mondays. Some miscopy the days, and one TV-location post gives a 23:00 close. One post says the ground-floor lunch deli runs only Tuesday to Friday, 11:30-15:00.
- What a meal costs depends on what you order. Two people paid 45,000 won for a lunch plate, a brisket burger and colas; four friends paid 137,000 won for the Party Platter and two ades. One post found it pricey, another said the per-person cost was reasonable.
- Four posts give the same phone number, 02-332-0999. Booking is via Naver or CatchTable, and several posts say groups over eight should phone; an 11-person family did, and staff asked ahead about high chairs and children's cutlery.
