Nyuyok Apateumeonteu

뉴욕아파트먼트 The name is the English 'New York Apartment' written in Korean letters, matching a house that serves American burgers, tacos and smoked barbecue.

Compiled from 6 blog posts read in fullSources →

New York Apartment is an American burger, taco and smoked-barbecue place on the second floor (unit 217) of the Mapo Hangang Prugio 2 shopping arcade, near exits 8 and 9 of Hapjeong Station. Diners recorded paying 16,500 won for a cheeseburger set, 15,500 won for the mac-and-cheese burger, 14,500 won for the patty taco, 24,500 won for the 'Diet' burger set, 21,500 won for lasagna and 16,500 won for a Coronarita. We read 30 posts from 1 August to 18 October 2026; 6 of them record an actual meal. Most of the rest are round-ups written in the days after the place appeared on SBS's Live Today on 13 October, and we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The front opens onto a terrace. Five of the six diners mentioned it. One who went around noon on a weekday described folding doors thrown open so the room ran into the terrace, with yellow tables under a red-striped awning; one who went late on a weekday evening found the terrace seats already full. Note that four of these five use nearly the same wording ('brunch by day, outdoor pub by night'), and only one of them says it was a hosted visit.
  2. The 'Diet' burger is the opposite of its name. The one diner who had it cut it in half, found the bun almost entirely filled with meat, and was full after half. The set was 24,500 won, or 32,000 won with fries and a vanilla shake added.
  3. Writing a review earns a free side. Two diners mentioned it: in October 2026 the ordering screen listed Oreo fries for a Naver review, mac and cheese for Google, coleslaw for T map and mashed potato for Kakao Map; a September diner got the Oreo fries for a receipt review.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 3 (of 6 posts read)

The restaurant is on the arcade's second floor; three diners said so and none mentioned a basement. But no diner said whether they took a lift or stairs, whether there is a step at the door, or whether they came in with a wheelchair or pushchair. The line about taking the lift up comes from a round-up written without a visit. This means nobody wrote about it, not that access is lacking.

We don't know whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or in the arcade corridor; no diner wrote about it. 'Separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in posts copying the Naver amenity list.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 23 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-182 posts in one day
2026-10-146 posts in one day
2026-10-1312 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only two diners touched on waiting. A weekday-lunch visitor walked straight in; a late weekday-evening visitor found it busy and the terrace full but did not mention queuing. Neither tells us how long the wait is since the 13 October broadcast.
  • Two diners went on a date and one went as a family with a child. No one wrote about going with friends or a big group and sharing the barbecue platter; every 'good for groups' remark comes from round-ups or guesswork.
  • Opening hours: all four diners who listed them wrote daily 11:10–23:00, but each copied it from Naver at the top of the post. One round-up wrote daily 12:00–02:00 instead. Nobody recorded a break time or last-order time.
  • Prices come from what diners paid between August and October 2026; we don't know later prices. A burger set plus a drink starts in the mid-20,000s, and one diner's three-item order came to 70,000 won. Transcribed menus disagree too — the Piggy Cream burger appears at both 14,500 and 15,500 won, and one post lists the steak burger at 13,500 won.
  • The phone number 02-333-7626 appears in more than twenty posts; one post alone gives 02-325-7620 and a separate 'Hongdae branch' on Dongmak-ro 7-gil, which nothing else supports, so we set it aside. Naver booking is mentioned only in copied listings; no diner said they booked.
  • Promotional writing is mixed in. Four of the six diners' posts (9–17 October 2026) use near-identical lines about the open front terrace and 'brunch by day, pub by night'; only one says the meal was provided. The other three say nothing, so we can't tell whether they paid. Claims like eight years of Blue Ribbon or 17 years in business are the restaurant's own lines, repeated.
