Igane Yangkkochi Hapjeong-jeom

이가네양꼬치 합정점 Igane means 'the Lee family's place', and yangkkochi are lamb skewers. This is the Hapjeong branch of a lamb-skewer chain.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

The Hapjeong branch of a lamb-skewer chain, in the Mapo Hangang Prugio arcade two to five minutes' walk from exit 8 of Hapjeong Station (the address puts it on basement level 1). The signature is lamb loin skewers at 23,000 won for 250 g — six skewers — alongside shoulder skewers at 18,000 won and lamb rack at 26,000 won, with fried aubergine, guobaorou and warm noodles on the side. Skewers come par-grilled from the kitchen and turn over charcoal at the table. The shop expanded into the unit next door before May 2026, and everything we read postdates that. We read 31 posts from 28 May to 16 October 2026; 24 describe a visit. We set aside 5 posts about other branches (Gongdeok, Pyeongchon, Yeouido).

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect a wait in the evening. Eleven posts say they waited, and the times they give are 5, 20, 20–30, 30, 30, 30 and 35 minutes. One found 13 groups ahead at 6 pm on a weekday; another found 9 groups ahead at 4:05 pm on a Saturday. You write your name and party size on a whiteboard at the door and staff call names out, so you can't wander off. Two posts walked straight in, on a weekday lunchtime or at an off-peak hour.
  2. One post says there is nowhere to sit while waiting — they stood outside in the heat and kept watching the board because the calls were hard to hear. A regular recalls chairs and a summer awning out front before the expansion; nobody says whether those are still there.
  3. Twelve posts say the skewers come out par-grilled, so they need only a short spell over the coals; posts suggest stopping at medium to medium-well. One post says the skewers took about ten minutes to arrive after ordering.
  4. Seven posts describe the self-turning grill at the table. The skewer handles are magnetic and snap into place; one post says the pieces are so big they sometimes jam against each other.
8 more
  1. Seventeen posts remark on how thick and large the pieces are — one says other places now disappoint, another contrasts it with the thin frozen meat at ordinary skewer shops.
  2. Nine posts say there is no gamey smell. One reverses the point: the lamb was so mild it tasted like decent grilled pork, and the writer gave it three stars (lunch, 31 July 2026). Another says the loin has no smell but the shoulder skewers do.
  3. Twelve posts list the free side dishes: pickled radish, peanuts and a dressed lettuce or chicory salad. Cumin and sliced chillies are set on each plate, and several posts recommend pouring the table soy sauce over the chillies as a dip. Four posts say staff bring more when asked; one notes there is no self-serve bar.
  4. Four posts mention a Naver coupon: order over 70,000 won before 5 pm and get one cooked dish free. One used it for guobaorou at lunch on 31 July 2026; another forgot to use it. An October post says it now requires a Naver reservation.
  5. Three posts got a free cooked dish for spending over 70,000 won without mentioning a coupon — one on a weekday evening, two before 5 pm. One post ate the lamb rack at 20,000 won during the August 2026 anniversary promotion.
  6. Ten posts say it is close to exit 8 of Hapjeong Station — 120 m, one to five minutes on foot, in the lane right behind the exit. One writer got lost and crossed the road by mistake; another says there are two signs and you go in through the one that isn't blue.
  7. It isn't quiet. Four posts call it loud or bustling — better for beer than for conversation. Two posts say the smoke clears well thanks to the table hoods and the folding front doors.
  8. Eight posts are from repeat visits, including two Mangwon locals who say they've been more than ten times, and one who thinks it tastes better now than two or three years ago.

Parking

Posts saying you can park2 of 23 posts

One post says they came by car and another describes three free hours in a roomy car park, so two posts count. The 'three hours in the Prugio arcade basement car park' line is mostly copied listing text, and one post says two hours instead. One writer came by subway and says they don't know about parking.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Ten posts say it is close to exit 8 of Hapjeong Station — 120 m, one to five minutes on foot, in the lane right behind the exit. One writer got lost and crossed the road by mistake; another says there are two signs and you go in through the one that isn't blue.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 23 posts
Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read)

Nobody describes which floor it is on from experience. The address says basement level 1 and one list post repeats that, but no one says whether you take stairs down or walk in from street level.

Nobody mentions a step at the entrance, stairs, a lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. That means we don't know, not that there are none.

Only one post describes the toilet from experience: a unisex toilet inside the shop, with signs to the arcade toilets. Other posts' 'separate men's and women's toilets' line is copied listing text, so we don't rely on it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Four posts (from May, July, August and October) say the shop expanded into the unit next door before May 2026, and the four posts calling it spacious all date from after that. Two regulars say waits are shorter since, but several later posts still waited half an hour or more.
  • All opening hours we saw are copied listing text. Eight posts up to September 2026 give noon to 11 pm with last orders at 10:30; four posts from 12 October give noon to 11:30 pm with last orders at 11; one 14 October post repeats the old hours. No post mentions a closing day or afternoon break.
  • Two posts call it expensive and one calls it fair; one notes that six skewers a portion isn't cheap, another that the lamb rack is poor value. For a sense of a meal: two people paid 90,000 won for three portions of loin, one of shoulder and a tomato-egg dish. The 20,000-won lamb rack in August 2026 was a promotion.
  • Three posts say only groups of four or more can reserve, through Naver; one couple couldn't book and had to queue. Many posts copy the phone number 02-338-6788, but none says they booked by phone.
  • Of the two posts without a visit, one is a generic blurb about a 'kind owner' and 'honest prices' with nothing experienced, so we didn't count it. 'Korea's first lamb-loin skewer' and 'started with four tables in 2004' are the shop's own claims, repeated by bloggers.
