JUE
쥬에 Jyue Jue is the Chinese reading of the word for the noble ranks once granted to Chinese aristocrats, and the courses are named after those ranks (duke, marquis, count, viscount, baron).

Jue serves Cantonese food, as courses or à la carte, in a standalone building at the top of a hill on Dokseodang-ro in Hannam-dong. Several posts say the ground floor holds private rooms and the second floor is the main dining room. Lunch courses start at 108,000 won and dinner courses at 178,000 won. À la carte prices we saw include 80,000 won for half a Peking duck, 27,000 won for three abalone siu mai and 58,000 won for black-vinegar pork. Two posts gave a final bill: 402,500 won for four, and about 300,000 won for two including corkage. Most visits were family birthdays or anniversaries, and six posts got a free peach-shaped bun after mentioning a birthday when booking. We read 30 posts dated July 23 to October 15, 2026. After dropping three about other restaurants and two list posts, we counted the 25 that describe a visit.

Rows without a count: 6 of 8 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- If you drive, you hand the car to the valet. Ten posts describe using it, and four give the fee as 3,000 won. One says valet is the only option. Another says the road is so steep they would have abandoned the car without it, and a third found the parking area cramped.
- Nine posts ate in a private room. One party of ten got the largest room, and a party of six got a bigger room than expected. One post says room bookings require a course, or à la carte orders of the same value, with minimums of 108,000 won per person at lunch and 178,000 won at dinner. Five posts describe the second floor as an open dining hall.
- Ten posts booked ahead, through Naver or CatchTable. One notes a 50,000-won-per-person deposit that was refunded on arrival. One found every table taken at a weekday dinner, and another, seeing the room full the whole time, advised booking.
- Nine posts called the staff friendly. One mentions a server explaining that the peach dessert stands for long life, and two mention tea being topped up throughout. Two posts disagree. One felt the service was haughty rather than warm, and another found one server curt. A third waited a long time because the server had never put the order in.
2 more
- Posts split on gaminess. One found a strong pork smell in the abalone siu mai and in the duck skin. Two others say the barbecue had no off-smell and the duck did not smell strong. That is one against two.
- Tea comes with the courses and is refilled throughout. If you order à la carte it is charged separately. Two posts say so, and one found the white tea it paid for tasteless.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 5 of 24 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 2 of 24 posts |
The registered address includes a basement level, but no post says what is down there. Posts mention only the ground-floor rooms and the second-floor hall. That does not mean there is no basement; nobody wrote about one.
No post describes the entrance step, stairs or a lift from experience. The claim that the entrance and seating are wheelchair-accessible appears in one post that copied the listing, so we did not count it. The approach is uphill: posts call it a slightly steep road, a sharp incline, and a climb to the end of a dead-end street. No one said how you get up to the second floor.
Three posts mention the toilets. One ground-floor private room had its own toilet. Another post says the restroom is a single room, so lock the door. A third found it so dark they thought the power was out. No one said whether there are separate men's and women's rooms.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The Jajak course (128,000 won) changed. A July 2026 visit got black-vinegar pork and notes that chili prawns are served now. Posts from September on list Singapore-style chili prawns in that slot. The menu changed; the restaurant did not move.
- Two posts disagree on public transport. One says the 110A bus stops right in front. Another calls access poor, puts Oksu Station 20 minutes and Hangangjin 30 minutes away on foot, and recommends driving. A third took a taxi from Yongsan Station.
- No post describes queuing, mostly because people booked. One arrived 15 minutes early and was seated straight away. No one says what happens if you walk in without a booking.
- Five posts repeat the listing: no children in the main hall, though preschoolers are allowed in private rooms. One adds that you should check with the restaurant. No post describes going with children.
- All eight visit posts that list opening hours copied them from the listing. They agree on weekdays 11:30–22:00 with a 15:00–18:00 break, and weekends 11:30–21:30. The weekend break is 15:00–17:30 in three posts and 15:00–18:00 in one. No post says which day the restaurant closes.
- Eight posts call the prices high, and none disagree. One family found the dinner courses too expensive and ordered à la carte instead. Another found à la carte better value than the course. Only two posts give a total bill, so expect the cost of a meal to depend heavily on what you order.
- Several posts give the same phone number, 02-798-9700. Two posts copied the booking rules: Naver takes only hall tables for two to four, and rooms or groups of five or more must be booked through CatchTable or by phone.
- Two posts appear to be the same person writing up one birthday visit on two blogs; we counted both, but it was a single meal. Two other posts copy the name's meaning, the corkage table and the room rules in the same order, and we did not rely on one of them's list of facilities.
