Yanginhwandae Yakseon is a tonic-food set-course room on the second floor of Hangang-daero 40-gil 14, a short walk from Exit 1 of Sinyongsan Station, opened on 2 March 2026. It takes one party a day (4–6 people) and serves a single course at 170,000 won a head: the chef grills lamb rack cut by cut at a semicircular counter, then moves through eel, sukiyaki, wood-fired lamb pizza and mess-tin ramyeon, ending with a tonic soup that has simmered in a cauldron all meal and porridge made from its broth. A traditional-liquor pairing costs 100,000 won (full) or 60,000 won (half). It is a separate place from Yanginhwandae Sinyongsan and Yanginhwandae Geukjin on the ground floor of the same building. We read 30 posts dated 8 February to 15 October 2026; 13 are about this place and all 13 describe a visit. The other 17 were about the two ground-floor restaurants and were set aside.

What sets it apart
- You cannot walk in. Eleven posts wrote about booking, and six gave the party size as 4 minimum, 6 maximum. One diner booked in early March for a late-March slot; an August post said only a couple of dates a month opened on Naver booking. March posts said phone booking only; posts from August on mention Naver booking and CatchTable.
- The chef grills everything in front of you — eleven posts said so. Several posts describe the same sequence: French rack (ribs 5–12) and shoulder rack (ribs 1–4) seared whole, then split into loin, rib cap, membrane and fat and served a piece at a time, followed by a rosemary-smoked loin.
- Portions are large: six posts said they were stuffed. One wrote that food keeps coming until you say stop; one meal ran from 7 pm to just past 10, another over two hours. One diner was told many guests take the soup home (hearsay).
- All five posts that mentioned lamb odour said there was none; one compared the loin to beef tenderloin.

It is upstairs: eight posts put it on the second floor, and three said you climb the stairs to the right of the ground-floor real-estate office. Two opening-week posts said there was no sign yet and the nameplate still read 'Geukjin'.
Three posts describe climbing stairs to the second floor; none mentions a lift, an entrance step, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is none.
Only one post mentions the toilet — connected to the room and used only by your party. Nobody said whether it is separated by sex.

What we do not know
- The course has changed over time. In March–April 2026 posts the closing soup was haesintang with octopus and oxtail; from August it is yongbongtang with soft-shell turtle. Sukiyaki was Hanwoo striploin in posts from March to August and lamb upper loin in October. Two October posts were told the tonic-Korean dishes will soon be dropped for a lamb-focused course — that had not happened when they wrote.
- Price is consistent: all nine posts that gave one said 170,000 won for the course, so 230,000–270,000 won a head with pairing. Most posts copied corkage as one bottle free per party then 30,000 won a bottle; one post said unlimited free corkage.
- Two phone numbers appear: six March–April posts give 0507-1374-3592, three August–October posts give 010-9756-3592. Booking started phone-only and later posts list Naver booking and CatchTable, so check before reserving.
- Ten posts list opening hours as 13:00–22:00 and three say the course must start by 19:00 — all copied from the shop's listing. No post gives a closing day.
- No post describes waiting at the door; with one booked party a day, the wait is for a reservation date, not in a queue.
- Only three posts say who they went with — a party of six, five for a friend's birthday, and a return visit with a friend (one visit written up twice). None mentions going with family.
