Ojeje Sinyongsan-jeom

오제제 신용산점 One post explains the name through the character 濟 (to cross, to accomplish): crossing the sea from Jeju to chase a dream on the mainland — the house serves Jeju matcha udon and decorates with Jeju volcanic stone.

Compiled from 21 blog posts read in fullSources →

Ojeje's Sinyongsan branch is a tonkatsu house on the first basement floor of the Amorepacific headquarters, which connects to Sinyongsan Station. You come for tenderloin (17,000 won) or loin (16,000 won) cutlets with a side of green Jeju matcha zaru udon; pairs mostly order Set A (both cutlets plus udon, 42,000 won) or Set B (both cutlets plus two prawns, 44,000 won). Orders go through a tablet at the table, and a card explains how to eat the cutlets with pink salt, sesame oil, wasabi and katsu sauce. We read 30 posts dated 20 July to 16 October 2026; 22 of them record an actual meal. We discarded 5 that were about other places and did not count 3 that only listed or recommended it.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect to queue: 16 of the 22 visit posts mention a wait. One registered at 5:25 pm on a Saturday behind 27 parties and waited an hour; another found 28 parties ahead at 5:40 on a weekday; another waited 20 minutes behind 8 parties half an hour after Tuesday lunch opening. The posts with no wait came off-peak, around 1:30 on a Monday or 2 pm on a weekday. The queue runs through CatchTable, and several posts say you pick your dishes when you register.
  2. Six posts say there is seating to wait on outside the shop — chairs to the left of the entrance, and plenty of space in the building itself. One adds that not every seat was comfortable.
  3. Six posts point out that the building links underground to Sinyongsan Station, so you can arrive without going outside even in the rain; one puts it at a one-minute walk from Exit 2.
  4. Thirteen posts describe the coating as crisp — both the thin batter on the cutlets and the thread-like kataifi around the prawns. Several explain that the pink centre is cooked through, and two note you can ask for it more done.

  1. Six posts say you order on a tablet (or kiosk) at the table. One regular notes that staff used to explain how to eat the cutlets and the tablet now does it; another was told extra orders are not taken when the queue is long.

Posts saying you can park1 of 21 posts

Parking is in the Amorepacific building's basement garage. One post says a meal got two hours free; the rest only repeat posted information, which variously says 90 minutes free or simply free. Check the validation when you pay.

Getting inside

In a basement12 of 21 posts

The shop is on the first basement floor of the Amorepacific building — 12 posts say so in their own words, and one remarks that it is brightly lit for a basement.

Nobody mentions a step at the entrance or coming in with a wheelchair or stroller, and nobody says whether they took a lift down to the basement from the station or garage. That means no one wrote about it, not that there is a problem.

No post says whether the toilet is inside the shop. One post's header lists separate men's and women's toilets, but that is copied listing information.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Posts disagree on room: three call it spacious, two call it cramped, one saying there was nowhere to put a bag or coat. One found plenty of space front-to-back but tight side-to-side; another says most tables are for two and four-tops are few, so larger groups may wait longer.
  • On price, posts split two and two. One balked at 48,000 won for dinner for two; another paid about 55,000 won for Set A plus a prawn and found it reasonable. Menu prices did not change between late July and October 2026.
  • Only a few posts say who they came with: three with friends, two with family. One brought a child, who ate the tenderloin and half the udon; nobody mentions high chairs.
  • Opening hours appear consistently as daily 11:00–21:00 with a break from 15:30 to 17:30 and last orders at 14:30 and 20:00, though mostly as copied listing information. One post gives the break as starting at 15:00; the same writer's other post says 15:30. No post mentions a closing day.
  • Two posts say there are no reservations, only the CatchTable queue. Four posts list the phone number 070-7677-0018, copied from listings; nobody reports calling. One post says takeaway is not offered.
  • One post found the loin sold out late in the evening, and another saw sold-out items flagged on the tablet, so late arrivals may miss some dishes.
