Neungdong Minari
능동미나리 Minari is Korean water dropwort, the green herb chopped and heaped over every bowl here; the posts do not explain the word Neungdong.

Neungdong Minari is a two-storey gomtang house on Yongridan-gil at Hangang-daero 40-gil 28 in Yongsan, a short walk from Exit 1 of Sinyongsan Station. Its two staples cost 15,000 won each: minari gomtang, clear beef soup with rice and meat already in the bowl under a layer of chopped water dropwort, and yukhoe bibimbap dressed with soy rather than red pepper paste. Of the 23 posts by people who ate there, 16 had the gomtang and 16 the bibimbap. There are also shared dishes such as minari suyuk hot pot (48,000 won small) and braised oxtail (56,000 won small). Dressed minari and salted squid come as side dishes, and you cut your own radish kimchi from a tub on the table. We read 32 posts dated July 2025 to October 2026, and 23 of them describe an actual meal. We set aside 2 as being about other places and did not count 7 that were introductions, lists or takeout eaten at home.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to queue. Of 23 visiting posts, 17 describe waiting and 3 say they walked straight in that time. The waits given: about an hour behind 44 groups at 1 pm on a Saturday (July 2025), over an hour at Saturday lunch, an hour to an hour and a half, 30 minutes twice, 20–30 minutes at 6 pm, 20 minutes, 10 minutes at 6 pm on a Wednesday, and 5–10 minutes at 9 pm. The no-wait visits were at 2 pm and 11 am on weekdays and at weekday opening; at the 11 am visit, office workers arriving remarked that there was no line today. Five posts note that your whole party must be present before you are seated.
- Tea is set out for the line. Seven posts mention drinking omija or ginger tea while waiting — some describe it as cold omija, others as warm, sweet ginger tea, and one says the urn switched to a hot drink as the weather cooled. Two posts also mention umbrellas and parasols left out for people waiting.
- Eleven posts mention the walls and stair cabinets covered in celebrity autographs, and several noticed the Michelin Bib Gourmand plaque.
- The way in is Exit 1 of Sinyongsan Station on Line 4. Three posts describe walking there from it — cross at the crosswalk, turn right, and you'll see the line — and one says the subway is far closer than the public car park. No one describes coming by bus.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 10 of 21 posts |

| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 21 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 1 of 21 posts |
Seating is on the ground and second floors. Ten posts describe the second floor, several of them being led up there; one counted roughly ten tables upstairs. One post was seated on the ground floor, and nobody mentions going down a level. Several note the signed celebrity cards lining the stairs.
No visiting post says anything about a step at the entrance, getting in with a wheelchair or stroller, or a lift. That means we don't know, not that there is none. Several posts mention climbing stairs to the second floor.
Only one post mentions the toilet, saying it is indoors on the ground floor. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in a copied listing, and we know nothing about an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-10-14 | 2 posts in one day |
|---|
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The booking rules have changed. Three posts up to 28 September 2026 say it was walk-in queue only, and four posts from 12 October on say Naver reservations had just started. A May 2026 post says CatchTable bookings had earlier given way to the walk-in line. One writer found same-day Naver slots almost never available.
- Opinions on size differ: three posts call the room small or cramped, one calls it fairly spacious.
- Opening hours appear to have moved earlier. A July 2025 post and one from 3 May 2026 give 11:00 on weekdays and 10:30 at weekends; the 11 visiting posts from 16 May 2026 on that list hours give 10:00–23:00 weekdays and 09:30–23:00 weekends. One writer actually arrived for the 9:30 weekend opening, while one October 2026 post still repeats the older times. Most of these are copied from listings. No visiting post mentions a closing day; one gives last orders at 22:30.
- Copied menus mostly agree on price: 15,000 won for the gomtang and bibimbap, 26,000 won for the brisket gomtang (one post says 25,000), 48,000 won for the small suyuk hot pot. The larger hot pot appears as 65,000 or 85,000 won, and the beef jeon as 15,000 or 28,000 won. Only one post totals a meal: 45,000 won for three people (one gomtang, two bibimbap). One writer called it not exactly cheap; another thought it fair for the taste and portion.
- Company is mixed: two family visits (six people including a baby, and a family of five), two with friends, one with a partner. Nobody describes eating alone, so we can't say how solo diners fare. One post came with a child.
- The number 0507-1388-1035 appears in many posts but only as copied listing text; no one describes phoning ahead. One post quotes the Naver booking page saying groups of nine or more should call the restaurant.
- The gomtang divides people: one writer found it like hot water with herbs and the meat rubbery, another found the broth far richer and heavier than expected. Several say their group preferred the bibimbap. Claims such as same-day-slaughtered top-grade Hanwoo or Cheongdo minari are the restaurant's own marketing repeated in posts, and we have not relied on them.
