Sunragil
순라길 Sunra-gil is the name of the lane itself: sunra were the Joseon-era patrols that guarded the royal shrine Jongmyo, and the house sits on Seosunra-gil, the patrol road along the shrine's west wall.

A skate (hongeo) house at 141 Seosunra-gil, at the Changdeokgung end of the Jongmyo wall lane. It serves fermented skate with pork and kimchi (samhap) in domestic and imported versions, plain sliced skate, skate stew, and makgeolli by the kettle. A copied menu lists domestic samhap at 160,000 won for four and 90,000 for two; one post put the bill at about 40,000 won a head. All four visitors ate skate liver, three of them as a free extra. We read 30 posts from 4 July to 5 October 2026; six are about this house and four describe an actual meal (31 July to 2 October). The other 24 are about other places on the same lane.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- All three posts that talked about price called it expensive: one on the 15,000-won kettle of makgeolli, one saying skate is never cheap outside the southwest, and one saying the 130,000-won large platter is hard to call good value. Each added that domestic skate simply costs this and that the food was good. One also felt the portion was small for the price.
- Two posts booked ahead. A party of six booked for the 5 pm Saturday opening, found the room empty, and saw it full about two hours later; another post booked by phone the day before.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

One post says the room is on two floors and they were seated upstairs; it warns that the stairs to the second floor are rather steep, and that upstairs feels like visiting a grandmother's house.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. That is not a no; nobody wrote about it. One post notes the stairs to the second floor are steep.
No post says where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 6 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Lunch now needs a reservation. The 31 July post was turned away at lunch earlier this year because the house had switched to reservations, and booked by phone the day before this time. Two posts give the number as 02-3672-5513. An August post's line that weekend lunch requires booking is passed-on information.
- Opening hours: all four posts give Mon-Sat 12:00-21:30, closed Sunday, but every one of them copied it from an info block. The afternoon break is 15:00-17:00 in two posts and 15:00-17:30 in one. Nobody gave a last-order time.
- Prices rest on one menu copied in an October 2026 post. Its '3 people 13,000' for samhap looks like a typo, and an August post paid 130,000 won for a 'large'; we could not tell whether these are the same item.
- Posts walk from Jongno 3-ga station, but one calls it 'a bit of a walk' and not especially easy to reach. The '5 minutes on foot' figure comes from a copied info block. No post came by bus.
- No post reports waiting. Two booked ahead, and one found the room empty at 5 pm on a Saturday and full two hours later. We don't know the wait without a booking.
- Only two posts say who they came with: one a party of six, one with a father. That is too few to say who this place suits.
