Wolhadong
월하동 Wolha means 'under the moon' — the line beneath the name on the signboard reads 'the warmth of one bowl under the moonlight'.
Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →
Wolhadong serves clear pork gomtang in a hanok tucked down an alley near Ssamziegil in Insadong, Seoul. The house bowl, wolha gomtang, is 12,000 won; hong gomtang, spiked with chili oil-sauce, is 13,500. On the side there is chilled sliced pork, naengjeyuk (5,000 taster, 10,000 half, 20,000 full), and a 20,000-won squid salad. The rice comes already in the broth, and you eat the thin pork slices with cheonggeunjang, a paste fermented from radish. You order by QR code at the table. We read 30 posts dated 15 January to 16 October 2026; 28 of them record an actual meal. All but one January post went up on or after 12 August 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- There is a counter for solo diners as well as tables for two and four; 21 posts described the seating. Five went alone and sat at the counter, which, one post noted, faces the kitchen and has an iron cauldron built in at each place.
- Food comes fast. Seven posts said so — one reckoned under two minutes, another about six — and none said it was slow.
- The most repeated point is the lack of porky smell: twelve posts said the gomtang or the chilled pork had none, one from a self-described sensitive eater. Five noted the meat is sliced thin.
- Six posts called the prices reasonable or cheap; one thought 12,000 won for the basic bowl a bit high.
2 more
- Writing a Naver review gets you a free taster of the chilled pork; four posts said they received it.
- Ten posts said it is easy to reach by public transport, most citing a four- to five-minute walk from Anguk Station exit 5. It sits down an alley: some found it hard to spot, others said the standing sign made it easy.

Two posts said firsthand that there is no parking of its own; others copy listing info pointing to the nearby Suun Hall lot. That lot's fee appears as 4,000 won an hour in January and 3,000 won per 30 minutes from August — copied figures, not ones we can confirm.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Step at the entrance | 1 of 28 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | yes 3 · no 2 (of 28 posts read) |
| Separate restrooms | 5 of 28 posts |
No post describes the floor from experience. The address says ground floor, but that only means nobody wrote about a basement or upper floor, not that there isn't one.
No post mentions getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One warned of a small step at the entrance. Nobody said whether there is a ramp.
Five posts said there are separate men's and women's toilets. Where they are is disputed: three put them inside (right as you enter), two just outside the dining room. They seem to be off the entrance passage.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits are mostly short. Four posts walked straight in (a weekday lunch, a weekend, 6 pm), and one waited about ten minutes at a weekday lunch. Two mentioned waiting chairs at the entrance. One post relays a notice that from 7 October 2026 only about half the seats take weekday-lunch bookings, with no noon slot; nobody has yet written about waits since.
- Naver booking works; five posts booked or recommended booking. One post says weekday-lunch booking changed on 7 October 2026: about half the seats, up to four people online, weekends and holidays unchanged.
- All 19 posts that list hours agree — daily 11:00–21:00, break 15:00–17:00, last order 20:30 — but every one is copied listing info. Only one mentions closing days (none announced). Two posts had heard that it sells out if you go late.
- Eight posts give the phone number as 0507-1458-2730; one gives 02-722-2730. One post copies a note to call ahead for group bookings of 20 to 30.
- Twenty-nine of the 30 posts fall between 12 August and 16 October 2026, and several reproduce the shop's own copy almost word for word (Joseon-era recipes, moon-jar bowls made in-house, 100% domestic ingredients). None discloses sponsorship; six say they paid their own way. We did not count the shop's claims about recipes and ingredients as evidence.
- Four posts found the room spacious; one found it not very big but cozy. Two noted there are no windows looking out.
