A pork barbecue house in a converted hanok down a lane beside Ssamziegil in Insadong, Seoul. Staff grill four cuts of Korean pork at your table: neck and belly at 18,000 won, gabeuri at 21,000, jowl at 22,000, each per 150 g. Seaweed soup comes free with the meat, and sides include soybean stew, buckwheat noodles and minced-meat patties. One couple paid in the 60,000-won range for three portions of meat with drinks and noodles. A separate lunch menu runs 11:30-14:30, but you can order meat at lunch too. We read 30 posts, dated 25 January to 7 October 2026, and every one describes an actual meal there.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff do all the grilling. In 29 of the 30 posts, a staff member cooked the meat from start to finish. Several say the grill's temperature is checked with a thermometer before the meat goes on, and cooked pieces are moved to a rack at the edge. Several also say staff explained an order for the dipping sauces, starting with plain salt. Writers liked being able to keep talking, or to look after a child, instead of tending the grill.
- Many guests are from overseas. Fifteen posts saw foreign guests on the day they ate there. One reckoned 80 to 90 percent of the room on a Sunday evening in late August, and another put it at over half during a holiday lunch. Posts also mention a menu with English, Chinese and Japanese, and vegetarian items marked on it.
- Expect a wait around 6 p.m. on weekdays. Four posts said they waited. The three that gave times waited 20 minutes (Monday 6:15 p.m., one group ahead), 25 minutes (a weekday just after 6) and 30 minutes (a weekday before 6). Five posts said they walked straight in. Those include a visit at the Saturday 11:30 opening, where only one party arrived first, and a Sunday noon visit. There is a sign-up list at the entrance for your name and party size, and four posts mention seats for waiting. One post booked ahead, and two recommend Naver booking or CatchTable.

The restaurant has no car park; five posts say so in their own words, and one family that drove used a nearby public lot. Posts quote different fees for that lot, so we leave them out.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
13 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor or any stairs from experience; only the address says ground floor. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is nothing to say.
We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. Five posts went with children, but none mentioned it.
That the toilets are indoors and split by gender appears only in info blocks copied into three posts. We did not count it, and no post describes actually using the toilets.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree about the ceiling, one against one: one called it low, the other high and airy. Several agree that the hanok's exposed rafters are still in place.
- Twenty-four posts give the same opening hours, 11:30-22:00 daily, and several say there is no afternoon break. Thirteen give last orders at 21:20, one at 21:30 and one at 21:00. Most of these hours are copied from an info block.
- Meat prices are the same in posts from January to October. The beef-and-seafood soybean stew appears at both 7,000 and 6,000 won, and both prices show up in February, so we can't tell when it changed. Three posts called it good value, and none called it expensive.
- Many posts give the same phone number, 02-733-0853. Some suggest booking through Naver or CatchTable, but no post says they booked by phone.
- Many posts copy the shop's own menu wording word for word, such as its Himalayan salt blurb, its description of the neck cut, and its four-sauce order. Only two posts say they were sponsored, but so many follow the same template that more of them may be promotional. Claims like the pork certification and the trimming of hard fat come from the shop, so we don't rely on them.
