A hanok makgeolli bar down the narrow alley just left of Exit 6 at Anguk Station (11-1 Insadong 16-gil). It opens at 3 pm and pairs Korean drinking food — pancakes, bulgogi, stews — with makgeolli and traditional liquor. Visitors ordered the bacon-cheese potato pancake (25,000 won) and soy bulgogi with green-onion kimchi (29,000 won) most; the Baechaeul-sang set for a group is 62,000 won. Tables go out into the alley in good weather, and inside the old house is split into room-like sections. Around May 2026 the owner changed and the place closed for a few days of work; the menu, prices and hours changed with it, and recent posts list daily 15:00–24:00. We read 30 posts from 29 April to 3 October 2026: 19 by people who went, 10 that only introduce the place, and 1 about the bar next door, which we set aside.

What sets it apart
- There is alley seating outside, mentioned by nine visitors. One notes each bar in the alley sets out only about three tables, so they go fast: a group of four had to sit inside, while another couple asked while waiting and were moved outdoors as soon as a table freed up. One early-May visitor asked for a blanket and got one.
- Inside is not one hall but a series of room-like sections, as six posts describe; two say each holds two to four tables. One visitor found the tables too close together once it filled up.
- It is close to the station: eight posts put it one to five minutes' walk from Anguk, through the narrow gap between buildings immediately left of Exit 6. One says that despite the short distance it was not easy to find.
- The free side dishes are kimchi and seasoned laver flakes, and four posts say they are refilled; a regular lost count of laver refills, and another post got a free top-up of fish-cake broth.

Getting inside
No post says which floor it is on; that is a gap in what people wrote, not evidence either way.
Nobody mentions a step, stairs or wheelchair or stroller access. Several do say the approach is a very narrow alley between buildings.
One visitor says the toilet is a single, very cramped stall; no visitor says whether it is inside or separated by gender. A promotional post says it is indoors, which we did not count.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 10 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post timed a wait: 20–30 minutes on a May 2026 evening without a booking. A September post only mentions seeing a waiting list. Visitors arriving around 4 pm found it quiet, with crowds from about 6 pm, and one regular says weekends are often full.
- Two posts mention slow food: the squid sundae takes time because it is stuffed and fried in-house, and on one busy night the owner warned in advance of a long wait.
- Opening hours have changed. Late-April to early-May 2026 posts list Mon–Sat 15:00–01:00, closed Sundays; mid-May posts Mon–Sat 15:00–24:00, closed Sundays; from August, daily 15:00–24:00 with last orders at 23:10. One August post copied the old hours. The bar also posts one-off closing days, so check before going.
- Prices have risen: early-May 2026 posts list the bacon-cheese potato pancake at 22,000 won and squid sundae at 25,000; from July–September they are 25,000 and 28,000. A regular noticed fewer dishes (the roe stew and chive pancake disappeared) and more drinks. No post gives a per-person total; single dishes run 13,000–29,000 won.
- Nine posts give the phone number as 0507-1465-2220 and four as 02-739-2220. Copied notes on reservations disagree (bookings until 7 pm only vs. no bookings), and no visitor reports booking.
- Ten of the 30 posts are templated introductions by people who never ate there, and two more share identical wording from the same brief. Many others read as promotional, so every count above uses only posts that describe actually eating there.
