The Buffet is the hotel buffet on the ground floor of Vista Walkerhill Seoul, inside the Walkerhill resort in Gwangjin-gu. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Posts copy the same price list: breakfast 85,000 won for adults and 43,000 won for children, weekday lunch 176,000 won, and weekday dinner plus weekend and holiday lunch and dinner 198,000 won. Diners pick from snow crab, sushi and sashimi sliced to order, a lamb and lobster grill and a Korean section, and coffee is made at a bar. Grand Walkerhill guests also take weekday breakfast here. We read 30 posts dated 21 December 2025 to 17 October 2026. We set aside 10 as hotel-stay, wine-fair or club-lounge posts, did not count 8 that only list or introduce the place, and counted 12 visits. The December 2025 post says the buffet used to be on the Grand Walkerhill side and moved here.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. People come for the Han River view. Five posts ate at a window table looking at the river. The same advice keeps coming up: ask for the window ahead of time. One diner booked on Naver, phoned to ask for a window seat, was told they were gone, joined a waitlist and got one. A third-time visitor says weekday window seats took booking two to three weeks out, and year-end or holidays two months. Another went down for the 6:30 first seating to claim one. On one Monday morning the sun was so strong that staff lowered all the blinds.
  2. Lines form before the second breakfast seating and the second dinner seating. Five posts stood in a line or saw one. One diner came down ten minutes before the Monday second breakfast seating and the line had already started. Two went in at the 6:30 first seating on a holiday or weekend and saw the second-seating line on the way out. One had booked and still found a fairly long line. One joined the line five to ten minutes before a second dinner seating in December 2025, and saw people waiting on chairs by the entrance. One post walked straight in around 9 a.m. on a Tuesday.
  3. More posts mention a discount than say they paid full price. Four mention one: a 20% staff discount, 5% off through Naver booking (188,100 won instead of 198,000), and two using Walkerhill Prestige membership, one at 20% for two and one for a party of ten. One post puts the membership fee at 1.2 million won a year.
  4. Seven visit posts mention the coffee. They describe a Paul Bassett bar making americano, latte, cappuccino and decaf to order. At a December 2025 dinner, coffee and tea were ordered by table QR code and staff brought them over. A 6:30 a.m. diner got each cup made fresh, but on the way out saw many cups already poured for the second seating.

  1. Families come here for occasions. Five posts went with family and four took children. The occasions were an aunt's 60th birthday, a mother's birthday and a ten-person family gathering, which was shown to a group room near the food stations. One post asked for scissors for the children and staff brought them.
  2. Two posts agree about the grill: the lamb had no gamey smell and the meat was juicy.

Two posts drove, parked in the Walkerhill parking tower and walked through the connecting passage. The six hours of free parking and the 28,000-won valet fee are copied information, so we did not rely on them.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 2 (of 12 posts read)

Two posts describe the floor first-hand: one says the entrance is on Vista Walkerhill's ground floor, the other walked through the Grand Walkerhill ground-floor lobby to The Buffet on Vista's ground floor. One post's info line says second floor; we did not count it.

No visit post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; one only notes strollers parked out front. That means no one wrote about it, not that access is lacking.

No one says whether the restrooms are inside the restaurant or separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 20 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-162 posts in one day
2026-10-152 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Most of the prices are copied price lists. Two posts say outright that it is expensive. One says that at the full 85,000-won breakfast price the food alone would not bring them back, and the December 2025 post calls dinner pricey. That post says prices and hours changed from 2026 but does not give the old prices, so we do not know by how much.
  • The December 2025 dinner was a two-seating service, and the writer minded the two-hour limit. The same post said that from 2026 dinner would be a single seating except on Saturdays and holidays, and the 2026 timetables do show one weekday and Sunday dinner from 18:00 to 21:00. One breakfast post found 90 minutes tight with children; at 10:00 the curtains came down.
  • One December 2025 post says the buffet used to be on the Grand Walkerhill side and has moved to Vista Walkerhill. No one says when, and every post we read is from after the move.
  • One visit post came by public transport, taking the shuttle bus from Gwangnaru Station. Other posts describe free shuttles from Gwangnaru and Gangbyeon stations, but they are hotel-stay guides, so we did not count them.
  • All the hours are copied timetables. One post gives breakfast as 07:00-10:00 Tuesday to Friday and two seatings, 06:30-08:10 and 08:30-10:00, Saturday to Monday and on holidays; another says 07:00-10:00 Tuesday to Sunday. Lunch is 12:00-14:30 on weekdays (three posts) and two seatings, 11:00-13:00 and 13:30-15:30, at weekends (two posts). Dinner is 18:00-21:00 on weekdays (three posts), with two seatings, at 17:30 and 20:00, on Saturdays only.
  • Three posts give 1670-0006 as the phone number for reservations and enquiries; one gives 1670-0005 and one 02-6330-9015. That bookings open at 10 a.m. on the 1st, two months ahead, is copied information.
