Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Lanzhou-style hand-pulled beef noodle shop in an alley off Jonggak's Youth Street. You order the noodle thickness by number, 1 to 8, with regular, clear, mala or Taiwanese broth; posts from May, September and October 2026 put the regular and clear bowls at 11,000 won. Many diners added plates such as guobaorou, fried eggplant or shrimp dumplings. We read 19 posts dated May 27 to October 16, 2026; 15 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Six of the eleven posts that described texture said the fried eggplant or guobaorou was crisp, several stressing it stayed crisp under the sauce to the last bite. None called it soggy.
  2. You can watch the noodles being pulled. Three posts saw it from their table, and two said the dough is only stretched once you order, one adding that this means a short wait for the bowl.
  3. All four posts that mentioned portions called them generous: one said every dish felt like one and a half servings, another that a regular bowl filled them up.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

4 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

No post described the floor; the address says ground floor, but nobody wrote about stairs or levels.

No post said whether the entrance has a step or works for a wheelchair or stroller.

No post said where the restroom is; one listing-style line claims separate men's and women's restrooms, which we did not count.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 15 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Heat is a split call: three posts said the regular bowl or the sesame noodles were milder than they looked, while two found the regular bowl spicy next to the clear one or the mala bowl numbing. The menu reportedly rates the regular bowl at Shin Ramyun level.
  • Saltiness is split too: two posts found the Taiwanese bowl or the cooling clear broth too salty, one found the regular broth a little bland.
  • Only one post said it waited, briefly, at the weekday lunch peak. Others noted a full hall at lunch, and one described signing name and party size on the glass door to queue. No one gave a wait time.
  • Four posts walked over from Jonggak station, one saying it is about one traffic light away; the '350 m from exit 4' figure is copied from listings.
  • Companions split two ways: three posts went with friends and three with a husband or boyfriend, plus three lunches with coworkers. No post described eating alone.
  • Seven posts give the same hours, daily 10:00-22:00 with a 15:30-16:30 break and last order at 21:30, all copied from listings; one diner confirmed the afternoon break first-hand. Two posts say it opens every day of the year.
  • Posts from May to October 2026 consistently put the regular bowl at 11,000 won; one post's borrowed menu photo shows 10,000 won from an unknown date. Two posts called prices reasonable; none called them high.
  • Five posts list the same phone number, 0507-1431-7858. Reservations appear only in copied listings; no one wrote about booking ahead, though one said staff asked whether they had a reservation.
  • Five posts from May and September 2026 share near-identical promotional phrasing and hashtags, suggesting copy supplied by the shop; none disclosed sponsorship, and we did not count those lines. TV-appearance banners are the shop's own claims and were not counted either.
