Iutjip Robadayakki
이웃집 로바다야끼 Iutjip means 'the house next door' — the name nods to My Neighbor Totoro (Iutjip Totoro in Korean), and robatayaki is Japanese hearth-side grilling where cooks grill in front of guests seated around them.

A large themed izakaya occupying the whole second floor of a building on the Gwancheol-dong 'youth street', a short walk from Jonggak Station exit 4. Cooks grill skewers at a U-shaped counter around a Doraemon figure and pass them straight over; tables for four, group tables and private rooms surround it. Single skewers were 3,000–3,500 won in a March 2026 post, and the Crayon Shin-chan set 45,000 won. Since summer 2026 the same space also runs a weekday Korean lunch buffet at 10,000 won a head. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to September 2026; 26 describe an actual visit (two of them to the lunch buffet). We set aside two that were really about the fish restaurant downstairs, and two that only introduced the place without visiting.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Sit at the counter and the grilling happens right in front of you — eight posts said they watched their food being cooked. One describes staff handing dishes over on a long paddle; another says skewers went onto a dedicated grill the moment they ordered. The counter fills early: one writer arrived before 7 p.m. straight from work and found it mostly taken.
- Soup and beans arrive before anything you order. Eleven posts mention the free starters, and several single out the beef-and-radish soup kept warm on a small burner, served with edamame or other beans and a seaweed salad. One writer had the beans refilled twice; another wished the edamame weren't served cold.
- It is big and has private rooms: eight posts mention the rooms and eight say the place is spacious. One group booked a room a week ahead; another found the rooms full and sat at a round table inside. Several posts describe zones themed on different anime and films. The '200 pyeong' size figure was hearsay, so we don't rely on it.
- Service slows when staff are thin. Two posts said food came late — one counted just one cook and one server on the floor (August 2026); the other said orders took a while and drinks were sometimes forgotten, though the staff were very kind (February 2026).
2 more
- The highballs lean sweet: three posts said so — one likened the 9,000-won Ponyo highball to a soft drink — while one post found them strong on whisky.
- Thirteen posts came with friends or acquaintances, three with a partner and two with a larger group such as a year-end reunion. Many stopped by as a second round after dinner elsewhere.

Parking
1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Two posts wrote about parking from experience: one said the restaurant has no parking of its own, the other that parking is very hard. Three more say 'no parking', but they copied it from the listing, so we didn't count them.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

8 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 11 of 25 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 1 of 25 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 25 posts |
Eleven posts say they went up to the second floor, five of them by an outside staircase lined with anime posters and menus; a Doraemon figure greets you at the door.
No one wrote about steps at the entrance, wheelchairs, strollers or a lift. Five posts mention climbing stairs to the second floor; that doesn't mean there's no lift, only that nobody said.
One post says the toilet is inside the restaurant and another that it is separated by gender. A third said both but admitted not having gone, so we didn't count it.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post addressed waiting: arriving around 6 p.m. on a weekend, they walked straight in thanks to the many seats. Nobody wrote about lines on Friday nights or later in the evening.
- Opening hours changed. Ten posts from January 2025 to March 2026 give 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. with last orders at 1:30; three posts from May to July 2026 give 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. daily, and an August 2026 visitor also found it opening at 5. No one has given last-order time since the switch. One post gives the lunch buffet as weekdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., last entry at 2. Most of these were copied from the listing.
- We only have menu prices; no post said what a person spent on a meal. Six posts called it not expensive (including the two lunch-buffet posts). Grilled scallop was 5,500 won in a February 2025 visit and 5,900 won on an August 2026 menu list, so prices may have gone up.
- Several posts list the phone number 0507-1382-3703. The only reservation we saw was a private room booked a week ahead; nobody said whether counter or regular seats can be booked.
- The space is shared with Insaeng Hoetjip, the raw-fish restaurant downstairs. Two October 2025 posts were from that restaurant's guests seated in this room or on the balcony as its 'annex', so we set them aside. An August 2026 post also noticed sashimi coming up from downstairs.
- A June 2026 post said itself that it was written from the Naver listing data, and a July 2026 post was the lunch-buffet operator's own promotion; we counted neither as a visit.
