DOSAN GARDEN
도산가든 Dosan Gadeun Dosan is written 島山, 'island mountain'; the house explains it as salt from the sea meeting meat and seasonal produce from the land, and 'garden' is simply the English word.

A charcoal galbi house that opened at the end of August 2026 in an alley off Jonggak's Street of Youth in Gwancheol-dong, Jongno, on the first and second floors of the Wonsan Building. The most-ordered dish is the 250 g portion of marinated pork ribs at 25,000 won, eaten in 13 of the 24 visit posts. Evenings are pork and Korean-beef ribs and cuts; from 11 a.m. at lunch the same meat comes as a set with stew or cold noodles at the same price, alongside rib soup at 16,000 won and stone-pot bibimbap at 13,000 won. In 19 of the 24 visits, staff grilled the meat from start to finish. We read 26 posts from 17 July to 8 October 2026; all 24 visit posts fall in the first weeks after opening, 6 September to 8 October. The other two are an induction installer's pre-opening post and one with no first-hand detail.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff do the grilling. In 19 of 24 visits, a server cooked and cut the meat and moved finished pieces off the heat. The five that did not mention it mostly ate non-grilled lunches such as rib soup or the bulgogi set. One post differed on skill: on 3 October a couple said the meat burned quite a bit because the server was still inexperienced, and they trimmed the charred bits themselves, whereas a 14 September post said the server carefully cut away even slightly burnt edges.
- There are a lot of private rooms. Twelve posts mentioned them. The ground floor has open tables and rooms; the six posts that went up to or saw the second floor said it is rooms throughout, and two posts said they sat on the ground floor. One September 17 visitor could not photograph the upstairs rooms because company dinners were going on, and an October 2 post found every ground-floor room already loud with office dinners.
- You order on a tablet at the table — four posts said so, one noting it is tucked inside a paper menu cover. After the meal, coffee and soft-serve are free and self-serve; a 16 September post noticed the beans were Paul Bassett.
- Nearly every post mentions free corkage, but mostly by repeating the house's own line. Only one, from 19 September, says they actually brought a bottle and paid no corkage. The house also sells wine — six posts saw a wine display or list.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 6 of 24 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 24 posts read) |
No one wrote about a step at the entrance, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift to the second floor — that means nobody said, not that there is none. Two posts came with small children and three relayed that high chairs are available, but none described getting in.
Only one post mentions the toilet, in passing — they looked around the dining room while searching for it. Nobody said clearly whether it is inside the restaurant or separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on whether it is expensive: one found it a little pricey, two said prices were not high or good value, and one said the meat alone is not cheap but the lunch set is reasonable. Bibimbap-style cold noodles appear at 6,000 won (7 October, as an after-meat portion) and at 10,000 won (17 September post and the menu). Lunch-set hours read 11:00–15:00 on the banner and in two posts, 11:00–14:30 in one. Almost every post counted nine or ten side dishes; one, from 7 September, said five or six.
- Opening hours are written two ways: Monday–Saturday 11:00–22:00 with a 14:30–16:30 break and Sundays closed (four posts, including one that photographed the notice on the door), or daily 10:00–22:00 with a 15:00–16:30 break and no closing day (five posts). The split is not by date — both versions appeared on 8 October. Most are copied information blocks, so check whether it opens on Sunday before you go.
- Six posts gave the phone number 0507-1440-7771. One relayed booking instructions saying group reservations go to 02-733-7771, and another listed 02-778-7771. Four posts said they reserved ahead, via Naver booking or CatchTable, and one relayed that Naver booking has a field for requesting a room.
- No post describes waiting. One walked in close to noon on 21 September and was seated immediately; four had reserved and went straight in. Nobody wrote from experience about turning up without a booking in the evening.
- Who people came with: family in six posts (two of them, from 16 September, are sisters writing up the same birthday dinner), couples in two, friends or former colleagues in two. Many posts pitch it for office dinners, but none was written from one.
- Every post dates from the first month or so after opening. One discloses sponsorship, one is an arranged reviewer visit, four say they paid themselves, and the rest say nothing. Three repeat the house copy about two weeks' ageing, 72 hours' drying and a marinade simmered for ten hours, and four repeat the 'salt of the sea, meat of the land' story — we treat these as relayed, not as evidence.
