Idojeong

Compiled from 24 blog posts read in fullSources →

Idojeong's Gonghang-dong branch is a fire-wok octopus and seafood restaurant on Gonghang-daero, a short walk from exit 1 of Songjeong station (Line 5). The draw is whole octopus stir-fried and served sizzling on a stone plate (15,000 won per person, two minimum); with a pot of taster noodles it is 16,000 won, and 19,000 with fried prawns too. Rice comes in a big bowl for mixing with bean sprouts and seaweed flakes, side dishes are refilled from a self-bar, and cone ice cream and tea are free on the way out. Seafood hotpot and octopus soup (59,000 won for two), clam noodles (10,000) and pork cutlet (12,000) are also on the menu. We read 30 posts from 7 August to 23 October 2026; 2 were about other restaurants and 25 describe an actual visit. Three of those say they were sponsored or invited, three say they paid themselves.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You can walk from the station. Twelve posts say it is an easy walk from Songjeong, quoting three to five minutes; one who came by subway says it took under three minutes from exit 1, on the main road near a McDonald's. One post adds it is walkable from Gonghang Market station on Line 9.
  2. Side dishes are refilled from a self-bar. Eighteen posts say they went back for more, listing soft tofu, bean sprouts, lettuce and perilla leaves, macaroni-corn salad and kimchi. Several mention a coffee machine and an ice-cream freezer at the same counter.
  3. Tea is free and self-serve. Twelve posts mention it; most call it heotgae (oriental raisin tree) tea, one says plum tea, and one visit from May 2026 found a herbal 'ssokdang' tea.
  4. Opinions on heat split. Six posts found it spicy, one saying even the regular level was quite hot; three said it was not spicy at all. Three posts note you can choose between regular and hot.
2 more
  1. The dining room is big. Thirteen posts say so, mentioning wide gaps between tables, an area screened off by partitions, and a long landscape painting on one wall. Several note an induction hob for the noodles and an ordering tablet at every table.
  2. High chairs are available: five posts saw them, one saying there were plenty. One post describes going with a small child.

Parking

5 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park5 of 24 posts

A few cars fit out front. Five posts say you can park in front; three give numbers — four cars, two, two or three. One explains you enter via the Shinhan Bank car-park entrance and reverse along the pavement to the door; another says space is tight, suggests nearby paid lots, and notes parking is not reimbursed. One more post guessed about two spaces without being sure.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

You can walk from the station. Twelve posts say it is an easy walk from Songjeong, quoting three to five minutes; one who came by subway says it took under three minutes from exit 1, on the main road near a McDonald's. One post adds it is walkable from Gonghang Market station on Line 9.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 24 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 24 posts

No post describes the floor from experience; '1st floor' appears only in the address, and nobody mentions stairs.

We do not know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in — not because it is a problem, but because nobody wrote about it.

Only two posts mention the toilets: one says they are inside, beside the self-bar; one says they are separate for men and women. Nobody mentions an accessible toilet.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post reports waiting. One that booked for a Friday dinner says it was busy but there was no queue; two others found it nearly full at dinner. We do not know about the lunch peak.
  • Two posts booked ahead through Naver, and one found a reserved table set aside. Every post that gives a phone number lists the same one, 0507-1339-8520.
  • Thirteen posts agree on opening hours of 11:00–22:00, closed the first and third Monday of each month, and nine give last orders at 21:20. Most of this is copied from the listing or the door sign, and only one post mentions a 15:00–17:00 afternoon break; the others say nothing about one.
  • Prices in the August–September 2026 posts agree. One post called the taster noodles complimentary, but five list them as a 16,000-won set — 1,000 won more than the octopus alone. Nobody called it expensive; one post said the price was fair.
  • The soup served with the meal changed with the season: posts through early September 2026 describe chilled cucumber soup, and from mid-September it is seaweed soup. An October post notes the cucumber soup was a summer thing.
  • Seven posts are short and generic, repeating search phrases without prices or details, and two share an identical hashtag line; they read like commissioned copy, so we counted little from them beyond who went and how it tasted. Parking, toilet and facility lines copied into post headers and footers were not counted.
