MITALY

미태리 가산한라원앤원점 Mitaeri, Gasan Halla One&One-jeom Mitaly is the chain's own contraction of masitneun Itaeri, 'delicious Italy' — this is its branch on the ground floor of the Halla One&One tower in Gasan.

Western · Geumcheon-gu, Gasan-dong

Data as of · Published ·

Mitaly is a pasta place on the ground floor of the Halla One&One tower, five minutes on foot from exit 8 at Gasan Digital Complex. It is the Gasan branch of a chain with more than fifty shops, and since the surrounding blocks are all offices, so are the customers. Pasta and risotto, thin-crust pizza, and a few set menus. You pick your table first, then pay at the kiosk by the door. A second helping of pasta costs nothing — but it is not on the kiosk screen, so you have to ask a member of staff after ordering. The posts we read run from October 2024 to May 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The extra helping of pasta is free. Sixteen posts say so and eleven writers took it up; one jokes that they ladle it in so freely they might as well sell it by weight. Four give the same warning — it is not an option on the kiosk, so you order first and then tell a member of staff. But they disagree about how much food this actually is. Eight say the topped-up bowl was enormous; against that, one thought it still light for a grown man, and another reckoned the standard portion would have been short without it. Nobody knows how long the offer runs; two say as much outright.
  2. Not one writer calls it expensive. Everyone who discusses price says the opposite, and they all reach for the same comparison — a pasta at a well-known place runs to twenty-odd thousand won, here it is around ten. One writer admits she had written it off as a cheap Western-style canteen and found the cooking better than she expected. The prices have moved, though. The gambas pasta is ₩10,500 on a menu board photographed in September 2025 and ₩11,800 in posts from December 2025 and April 2026; the jjamppong pasta went from ₩9,500 to ₩10,800 over the same stretch. No announcement of it appears anywhere.
  3. The price depends on the date here. Eight posts describe the shop's standing offers and they agree with one another: oil-based pastas are half price on the 5th of each month, and all pasta is thirty per cent off on the third Monday. Two writers timed a visit to the 5th; one expected a smaller bowl for the lower price and reports being surprised on both counts, and notes the room was packed that day. The other simply walked past and noticed the date, and says the offers are harder to catch than they look. Write a Naver receipt review and you get garlic bread — one writer took it, one knew and passed; a third mentions being given a melon soda.
  4. You take a table first, then pay up front at the kiosk. Six posts describe that order, and two explain the reason: you select your table number on the screen and the food is carried out to it. Two note that heat level and toppings are chosen on the kiosk as well. The one thing not on the screen is the free extra pasta — for that you speak to a member of staff.
  5. The heat is yours to choose. Five posts order something hot and no two pick the same level: one tasted a companion's maxed-out bowl and decided a whole one would be too much; one asked for it milder with extra prawns; one simply asked whether they could make it a little spicier and they did. The spicy version of the bread-bowl pasta is worth treating with respect — one writer coughed on the first bite from the small red chillies in it. Two others say the chilli in the spicy carbonara is precisely what keeps it from cloying.
  6. It is at street level, but you cannot see it from the street. Three writers say so in their own words; one calls it tucked away out of sight and gives directions — go in past the coffee shop and it is right there. Another places it beside the corner unit on the ground floor. The building holds a noodle shop, a gukbap shop and a donburi shop too, and one writer says she used the ground floor for years without realising there was a second storey. No post mentions any steps.
  7. Four posts mention the service and all four are warm about it. Three are brief — the owner is kind, the staff are kind — and the fourth, who came alone, was grateful for being talked through the menu. One writer thinks the owner is Vietnamese. Nobody reports being badly looked after.
  8. Five posts call the room clean — white-toned and tidy, clean and modern, clean and hygienic-feeling — and one likes the soft lighting. Three call it roomy: plenty of tables because it serves an office block, and you can push them together for a group. One writer raises a single complaint: the pickle and jalapeño tubs on each table come without tongs, so she used a spoon from the cutlery pot, and says she would feel better about a tub with tongs attached.

Map showing where MITALY is

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

Second flooryes 0 · no 3

No post mentions a step, a ramp, a wheelchair or a pushchair. Across seventeen posts, none of those words appears once. Three writers place the shop at street level and nobody describes stairs, which suggests a flat way in — but that is our inference, not anyone's observation. What lies between the building entrance and the restaurant door, and how wide that door is, nobody records.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 18 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • They do not agree about the cooking. Two call it ordinary: one says it falls short of a destination but works when you want to eat a lot of pasta cheaply, finding it under-salted and short on character; the other says it tasted exactly as expected and the noodles had gone a little soft. Only one dish is written off outright — the truffle carbonara, where the writer could neither taste nor smell any truffle and sent readers to the rosé dishes instead. Against that, others say it pleases everyone and keeps pulling them back. With seventeen posts we cannot tell a real split from one or two bad plates on the day.
  • Nobody writes about the toilets from having seen them — not whether they are inside the room or out in the building's corridor. One post does list separate men's and women's toilets, but it sits in the same line as takeaway, parking and wi-fi, which is a facilities list, not an observation. We left the wi-fi and the takeaway uncounted for the same reason.
  • Plenty of writers say it gets busy; almost none say they waited. Five describe a packed room at lunch, and not one of them reports queuing. One party found every table taken but had a booking and sat straight down. Another arrived at eleven to an empty room and watched it fill from half past. Only one person states it flatly — a regular who worked in Gasan for a year, who says you generally have to wait at lunch and so goes in the evening instead. A second warns that there may be a wait between twelve and one, without saying she waited. How long a wait, nobody writes.
  • The posts disagree about the closing day and the opening time. Eleven give hours at all. Of the eight that name a closing day, seven say Sunday and one says Monday — a July 2025 post that has the shop open Tuesday to Sunday. Posts on either side of it say Sunday, so it reads like a copying slip, but we could not confirm that, so we have left it standing. On opening time, eight say half past ten, one says ten, one says half past eleven. Four give a last order at half eight. One post says open daily and, in the same breath, names a weekly closing day with the day itself missing; another's hours line is simply garbled. No post mentions a mid-afternoon break at all — which is not the same as saying there isn't one. If you are going on a Sunday, ring first.
  • Not one post declares a sponsorship. Four state plainly that they paid; the other thirteen say nothing. Worth knowing, though, that the shop gives away garlic bread to anyone who writes a Naver receipt review, which lays a thin reason to be kind under the whole corpus — one writer took the bread, another knew about it and declined. One visit came off a list drawn up by a company's PR team; another writer returned because a manager had once bought her lunch here for her birthday. Seventeen posts are seventeen people — no blog appears twice. Three of them are round-ups covering between four and twelve restaurants in Gasan, and from those we read and counted only the Mitaly section.
