Changgo 43

창고43 Changgo means warehouse in Korean; 43 is part of the brand name, which the posts do not explain.

Compiled from 9 blog posts read in fullSources →

Changgo 43 Myeongdong is a Korean-beef grill in the basement of the Pine Avenue building on Euljiro. Staff grill the meat at your table; people start with the Changgo Special (54,000 won) or the house assortment and add rib-eye cap or striploin. Most posts describe family birthdays, anniversaries or office dinners, and one party of nine paid about a million won. We read 30 posts from May to October 2026. Eleven were about this restaurant and ten describe an actual meal (May to September 2026). We set aside the other 19, which were about other places or were crypto and job-listing spam.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Staff grill the meat for you from start to finish; five of the ten visit posts say so. Two of them note that the meat is pulled apart along the grain with a spatula rather than cut with scissors.
  2. There are private rooms. Three posts ate in one or saw them: a party of three was given a room for twelve, and an office group found a wardrobe in the room to keep their coats from smelling of smoke. One post wrote that it was 'not a room', and we cannot tell whether that meant there were no rooms or just that they sat in the main hall.
  3. Posts find it expensive; four say so. A party of nine paid about a million won, a lunch rice bowl at around 22,000 won felt not worth it, and one diner warns against the side add-ons after getting three sheets of seaweed for 6,000 won and a tiny portion of sea urchin. One post puts dinner at 70,000 to 100,000 won a head.
  4. You can walk in straight from the subway; three posts say the building connects to Euljiro 1-ga or Euljiro 3-ga station. One post places it in the basement food court of Pine Avenue.
2 more
  1. A tea is served at the end of the meal. Two posts mention it: one calls it omija tea, the other was not sure but found it sweet and tangy.
  2. It is a family place: four of the ten visit posts went with family (two mothers' birthdays, an anniversary, a gathering of nine), and two were group or office dinners. One family said their four-year-old ate the beef happily.

Parking

Posts saying you can park2 of 9 posts

Diners use the building's car park: one drove and parked there, another recommends parking in front of block A on B2. Two hours' free parking appears in three posts, but always in copied info boxes, so we did not count it.

Getting inside

In a basement1 of 9 posts

It is on basement level one. Only one visit post describes this firsthand; the others just copy the address.

No post says whether there is a step at the door, whether a wheelchair or stroller got in, or whether there is a lift down to the basement. We simply do not know.

No post says whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or whether it is split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 10 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post records a wait. One found it fairly quiet at 7 pm on a Sunday; another saw crowds at lunch and recommends booking. That does not mean there is never a queue, only that no one wrote about waiting.
  • Three posts give the hours as 11:30 to 22:00 daily, and two add a 15:00 to 17:30 break, but all three are in copied info boxes or list formats. No post mentions a closing day.
  • Most menu prices come from a single August 2026 post that copied the online listing without visiting. The only prices written by actual diners are the Changgo Special at 54,000 won, raw beef 39,000, tartare 35,000, seaweed 6,000 and the lunch rice bowl at about 22,000.
  • No post gives a phone number. One diner booked on Naver and was told same-day bookings need a phone call; another says Naver and Tabling both take reservations.
