Koyako is a do-it-yourself tteokbokki house on Dongsung-gil 68, in the alley off Hyehwa Station exit 2 toward Marronnier Park. You simmer the pot on a gas burner at the table, mix flavours one serving at a time, add noodles and fried bits, and finish with fried rice that the kitchen makes in your pan. Posts list 6,500 won a serving for the vegetable, seafood, sundae, budae and jjajang versions, 7,000 for cheese, 7,500 for bulgogi and dakgalbi, 8,000 for cream and 9,000 for rosé; most add-ins are 1,500 won and the fried rice 2,500. We read 30 posts from June 29 to October 7, 2026; 26 describe a visit. One was about another restaurant and three were listings or introductions we did not count.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Ten posts describe walls, the door and the counter covered with signatures from actors and entertainers — one said a whole wall was almost all autographs. The TV appearances people mention come from the shop's own display, so we did not count them.
- No post called it expensive; 14 said the prices were easy. Three people paid 27,500 won for three servings, a ramen add-in and two fried rice; a couple paid 25,000 won with four add-ins and fried rice. One post summed it up as about 10,000 won a head.
- Twelve posts said the portions are large. One said two servings were far more than expected; another was too full to order the fried rice.
- Six posts said the room is bigger than it looks — one counted more than ten tables, mostly four-tops; another noted a mix of two- and four-seat tables with room between them.
4 more
- Order by headcount, with a two-serving minimum: two posts mention the minimum and two the one-serving-per-person rule. You can mix flavours one serving at a time and they arrive together in a single pot; one post notes the base comes without any add-ins.
- Three posts got two boiled eggs free for writing a review.
- Four posts note that this tteokbokki shop sells beer; one lists a 300 cc Terra draft at 3,000 won.
- Eight posts say it is an easy walk from Hyehwa Station exit 2 — about five minutes, past the convenience stores by the Arko theatre and then left.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Eight posts say it is an easy walk from Hyehwa Station exit 2 — about five minutes, past the convenience stores by the Arko theatre and then left.
Getting inside
No post described which floor it is on from experience; only the address says ground floor.
No one mentioned steps, a threshold, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means unknown, not absent.
No post said where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- It gets hot in summer: two posts from July and August said the room relies on fans more than air-conditioning. Nobody said it was cool.
- Heat is split: two posts found it spicy, three did not. You choose mild, medium or hot, but one family said even mild had a kick too strong for preschoolers. Sweetness splits three to one, most saying it is not sweet.
- No one reported waiting. One post, visiting off-peak, found every table taken but no line, and saw seats set out for waiting. Others mention a busy Saturday 2:30 pm and weekday lunch, but not a queue. We don't know what peak hours are like.
- Sixteen posts give opening hours, all copied from listing blocks, and they disagree on closing time. All say 11 am opening. Six say 10:30 pm on weekdays and 11 pm on weekends, two say 11 pm on Saturdays only, six say 10:30 pm every day, two say 11 pm every day. None mention a closed day or break.
- Prices are consistent from June to September 2026 with a few exceptions: five posts list fried rice at 2,500 won but one October post says 2,000; one September post claims 8,000 won is the top price, while two list the rosé at 9,000.
- Eleven visit posts give the same phone number, 02-763-8587. Reservations appear only in copied listing blocks; no one wrote about booking.
- Some posts look promotional. Three disclose sponsorship. Three posts from October 7 and one from September 22 share a keyword-stuffed title pattern and stock phrasing, with only a line or two of actual experience, and six posts open with the same five hashtags.
