Korean

Seorijae Seoulyeok-jeom

서리재 서울역점 Seori is the Korean word for frost and jae can mean a hill pass or a hall; none of the posts explain the name, and this is the Seoul Station branch of the chain.

Compiled from 5 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Korean grill-and-stone-pot-rice restaurant on the third floor of Seoul Station. Stew sets with stone-pot rice cost 13,900 and 14,900 won, single-person grill sets 23,500 and 27,500 won, and the two-person grill spread 49,900 won. You order from a tablet or kiosk, and many diners come in just before or after a train. We read 11 posts from 15 January 2025 to 15 October 2026; 5 of them describe eating here. One post only linked to the place and was dropped, and 5 are lists of station eateries or new-business registers, which we did not count as visits.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering is done on a machine. Two posts mention it: one ordered on the tablet at each table, the other noted the kiosk screen showing 28,800 won for two set meals.
  2. It sits inside the station, so people walk straight in from a train or bus. Two posts describe this: one came in by KTX and ate without leaving the building, the other took bus 162 to Seoul Station for dinner.
  3. There is a wait at mealtimes. Two posts mention one: one said the lunch wait was short, the other said peak hours mean a queue but around 5 p.m. it was quiet. No post gives the number of minutes.
  4. Two posts found the portions a little small: one said the stone-pot rice felt about a third smaller than elsewhere, the other said the amount was not generous for the price. No post called the portions large.
3 more
  1. Three of the five visits were couples. One was a family with a baby, and one a group of friends.
  2. The one post that came with a baby photographed the restaurant's high chair; it is the only visit with a child.
  3. One post got a free pumpkin rice punch for writing a Naver receipt review (June 2026).

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 5 posts read)
Lift to the floor1 of 5 posts

It is on the station's third floor, not underground; one post describes heading up to the third-floor restaurant.

We do not know about wheelchair access. One post with a child's trike said you must climb stairs in the outlet's lobby to reach the elevator, which is hard with a heavy stroller, but that is the route through the building; no post describes the restaurant's own entrance.

We do not know where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender; nobody wrote about them, which is not the same as there being none.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 10 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post called the prices high, describing the 49,900-won two-person grill spread as expensive, perhaps because of station rent. The other four either just listed prices or did not comment on them.
  • The grilled gochujang pork splits opinion one to one: one post praised its smoky flavor, the other noticed a porky smell and disliked it.
  • Only one visit post gives opening hours: daily 8:00 to 21:00, last order 20:30. A list post also says it opens at 8, but that was copied. No post mentions closing days.
  • No post gives a phone number, and none mentions booking.
  • No post is sponsored: two say they paid for themselves and three say nothing. There is a separate branch of the same name at Yongsan I'Park Mall, which should not be confused with this one.
