Torikijoku Yeonnam-jeom

토리키조쿠 연남점 Torikizoku (鳥貴族) is Japanese for 'bird aristocrats' — the name of the yakitori chain that began in Osaka in 1985; this is its Yeonnam branch.

Compiled from 16 blog posts read in fullSources →

The Yeonnam branch of Torikizoku, the Osaka-born yakitori chain, on the second floor of 31 Yanghwa-ro 21-gil by Hongik Univ. Station exit 3. Everything on the menu — skewers, kettle rice, draft beer, highballs — is 4,900 won. People come for a few plates of skewers with drinks; one post put it at about 20,000 won a head, another said two people ate for under 60,000. We read 30 posts from October 2024 to October 2026; 17 describe an actual visit (8 say they paid their own way), and five were about other places. Posts from 2025 and 2026 give different opening hours.

Rows without a count: 4 of 6 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Of ten posts that mention waiting, six waited. One was fourth in line around 9 pm on a Saturday, waited 10–15 minutes, and had three minutes to get in once notified. A group of four waited for a four-top; another couple put their name down and wandered until called. One post walked straight in at the 5 pm Sunday opening and saw a line form by 5:30.
  2. Five posts mention a two-hour limit. In one, staff announced it as soon as the party sat down; two say it applies when there is a queue. One post said it felt like being hurried out.
  3. Four posts say food takes time. Two warn that the kettle rice needs about 30 minutes, so order it first; two say the charcoal skewers are slow enough that you should order several at once.
  4. Thirteen posts discuss price; none call it expensive and nine say it is easy on the wallet. Two hedge: one couple passed 70,000 won after eight draft beers and two highballs, and another said that after ordering a lot the value was not that great. One post pointed out that even a cola costs 4,900 won.

  1. Three posts describe both counter seats facing the kitchen and tables, including window seats over the Gyeongui Line Forest Park and partitioned tables further in. On roominess posts split two to four: two found it bigger than expected, four found it cramped, one saying small tables were packed tight and another that a two-top was full with two people's plates.
  2. Five posts ordered draft beer. Several singled out Suntory Premium Malts at 4,900 won as the main draw; a February 2025 post gave Suntory as 350 ml and Hanmac as 600 ml. One found the beer slightly lukewarm.
  3. Eight posts walked from Hongik Univ. Station exit 3, describing it as a short, straight walk; one put it at under ten minutes.

Getting inside

Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 16 posts read)

Two posts mention climbing stairs to the second-floor room.

We don't know about wheelchair or stroller access or whether there is a lift. Two posts took the stairs; none mention an elevator or the entrance step. That means no one wrote about it, not that it is absent.

Only one post describes the restroom: inside the premises, unisex, clean. Another post's info box says the same, but that looks copied and we did not count it.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opening hours depend on when the post was written. 2025 posts give weekdays 16:00–22:30, and one from the February 2025 opening weeks says last order was 9 pm. Three 2026 posts agree on Mon–Thu 17:00–23:00, Fri 17:00–24:00, Sat 16:00–24:00, Sun 16:00–23:00, with weekday last order at 22:30; one other 2026 post says daily 16:00–22:00 and another says weekends 16:00–23:00. All come from info boxes, so check before going. No post mentions a regular closing day.
  • Four posts say reservations go through Catch Table; one got in at 7 pm on a weekday without waiting because a friend had booked. Six posts list the phone number 02-2138-3953, but none say they booked by phone.
  • Eight posts were written without a visit — a brand history piece describing park-view windows and folding doors, a page of scraped Naver review keywords, a roundup of Japanese chains and others. We treated them as copied material and did not count them.
