Syabeuro 21 Yeonnam
샤브로21 연남 Shaburo is a play on shabu-shabu, the hot pot this chain serves one pot per person; Yeonnam is the neighborhood, and the posts never explain the 21.

Shaburo 21 Yeonnam is a one-person shabu-shabu chain branch on the ground floor of a building on Yanghwa-ro 19-gil, close to Hongik Univ. Station exit 3. Every seat has its own induction burner, so each diner cooks their own pot; the basic set of broth, vegetables and meat cost 8,000 to 9,500 won on the August 2026 menu, and people add meat, noodles or porridge. Seating is mostly a bar counter plus two tables for two. We read 30 posts dated July 23 to October 26, 2026; 11 of them, from July to October 2026, describe a visit here. The other 19 were about neighboring shops or other Shaburo 21 branches (Hongdae, Seogyo, Gojan in Ansan) and were not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Posts agree it is cheap: of seven that discuss price, five call it inexpensive and none call it pricey. Two give what they actually paid — 13,000 won for a split pot with daoxiao noodles and buldak porridge, and 12,000 won with extra meat, sujebi and egg porridge. On the August 2026 menu the house broth was 8,000 won, spicy, miso and pho 9,000, mala 9,300 and the split pot 9,500; 90 g of extra brisket was 3,800 won and noodles or porridge 1,500.
- It is mostly bar seating, but not only that. All four posts that describe the seats mention the counter, and three of them note two face-to-face tables for two on the left. One says the counter holds about twelve with clear dividers between seats; another says there are no four-person tables here, unlike the Sangsu branch, so groups of three or more are a poor fit.
- You order from your phone at the seat: three posts used the QR code (one also mentions NFC), and one says the ordering page comes in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese. One post notes that staff do not cook for you — you control the heat and add the ingredients yourself.
- Waits depend on the hour. Two posts waited: one says dinner always meant five to ten minutes, another found a line after 6:30 pm on a weekday but quick turnover. One post arrived at 11:30 am and walked straight in; it mentions a CatchTable waitlist at the door.
3 more
- Two posts say it is near the station — right by Hongik Univ. exit 3, across from the chocolate café 17°C, and easy to reach on foot.
- Two posts found the staff friendly; one says foreign staff walked them through the unfamiliar ordering system.
- One post notes a basket for bags under the bar stools, with large zip bags provided.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Two posts say it is near the station — right by Hongik Univ. exit 3, across from the chocolate café 17°C, and easy to reach on foot.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor from experience. The address says ground floor, unit 101, but nobody mentions stairs either way.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in — that means unknown, not absent. Several posts only note that most seats are bar stools.
No post says where the restroom is or whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Portions split three to two. Three posts found them generous, with plenty of mushrooms, meat and vegetables; two found the vegetables or the meat skimpy, and both of those ordered extra meat.
- Two posts found the broth salty — once after boiling noodles down in it, once with both the miso and pho broths.
- One July 2026 post was very disappointed: the meat had an odd smell, the stools' backrests were too short, and the clear dividers were loose enough to shift at a touch. No other post mentions a smell.
- Many posts call it good for eating alone, yet none clearly says the writer went solo. Those who name a companion went with friends (four) or a boyfriend (one); none went with family or children.
- Six posts give opening hours, all copied from map listings. Five say 10:30 am to 10 pm with last order at 9:30, four of them 'daily'; one October 2026 post says 10 am to 10 pm. None mentions a closing day.
- Prices vary by source. An October 2026 post lists 7,500 won for the house broth and 8,500 for spicy as 'early 2026 prices', but it covers many branches, so we can't tell if they apply here; the August 2026 menu shows 8,000 and 9,000. Only two posts give the total they paid (12,000 and 13,000 won).
- Two posts give different phone numbers (02-6449-0606 and 0507-1433-7024); we don't know which is current, and no post says whether reservations are taken.
