Seodamheon
서담헌 Heon (軒) is a word used in the names of traditional Korean houses and pavilions; none of the posts explains the rest of the name.

Seodamheon is a Chinese restaurant a 5–7 minute walk from Hongik University Station exit 3, down an alley toward Yeonnam-dong. The room is done up like a hanok, and the menu is built on wide knife-shaved noodles plus a sweet-and-sour pork fried in round balls (mokhwasom tangsuyuk). Twenty-three posts ate the pork (15,000 won) and sixteen the samjjamyeon (16,000 won, billed as 1.5 servings), which mixes doenjang black-bean sauce with wok-fired spicy seafood over the noodles. A two-person set bundling both with a drink and doughnuts is listed at 32,000–37,000 won; you order on a tablet at the table. We read 30 posts dated August 1 to October 17, 2026, of which 25 describe an actual meal there. One disclosed sponsorship and five said they paid their own way.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Six posts mention waiting. One put their name on Tablering around 1 p.m. on a public holiday and got in after about an hour; one arrived around noon on a Monday and found four parties waiting on the way out; one had booked for a weekday evening and still found the room full with people queuing. Another, at an off-peak hour, found one party ahead and barely waited. One walked in right as the afternoon break ended and was seated at once. Four posts say they booked ahead.
- Seven posts describe getting there on foot: two say five minutes from Hongik University Station exit 3, one says seven, one about 365 metres. Two say the large sign reading "Chinese cuisine" makes it easy to find despite the alley, though those two posts share almost identical wording. One family says they come by bus in summer.
- Fourteen posts say the coating on the round sweet-and-sour pork was crisp, and the shape and the fried lotus-root chips on top come up again and again. The claim that the sauce is made with traditional grain syrup is the restaurant's own line, repeated in posts, so we did not count it.
- Ten posts say the portions were large. Four say the "mini" crab fried rice (7,000 won) arrived like a full serving, and one says the samjjamyeon, billed as 1.5 servings, felt more like two.
6 more
- Seven posts found the jjamppong or fried noodles spicy; one found the jjamppong not spicy. Three said the seasoning was not heavy, one that the clam fried noodles were salty. Several mention mala oil and vinegar on every table with a card suggesting you add them partway through.
- Family meals are the most common (six posts), then couples (four), friends (two), groups (two) and one solo diner. Three posts brought children and three mention high chairs; one family ordered the black-bean noodles because the child could not handle spice.
- Seven posts found it quiet and seven said the tables were well spaced. One noted that while the spacing is fine, the two-person tables are small once you order more than three dishes. Seven describe the seating as mostly two-tops with some four-tops and a counter for solo diners; three mention a basket at each seat for bags and coats.
- Five posts say you order on a tablet at the table. One connected to the wifi via a QR code on the screen; one said the food took quite a while to arrive.
- Three posts noticed foreign diners, and one said the staff seemed to speak several languages.
- Five posts found the prices fair; one said it is not cheap. One table of jjamppong, pork, crab fried rice and doughnuts came to 38,000 won. Four posts received the free candied sweet potato or dumplings offered for a review or for following the restaurant on Naver.

Parking
5 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Five posts say the restaurant has no parking of its own, and none say otherwise. The same wording pointing to Yeonnam public car park (6 minutes' walk) and the Urbanport private lot (4 minutes) appears in several posts; it looks like the restaurant's own notice, so we did not count it separately.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Seven posts describe getting there on foot: two say five minutes from Hongik University Station exit 3, one says seven, one about 365 metres. Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 25 posts read) |
|---|
No one described which floor the dining room is on or whether there are steps at the entrance; only the address says ground floor.
No post mentions a step, a ramp, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that there is a problem.
Only one post mentions the toilet: it is outside the restaurant, on the floor below, with umbrellas left out for rainy days, and it was cleaner than expected. The same post's info box says it is separated by sex, but that line looks copied, so we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on the pork itself split. Two posts call it moist and juicy, but they share nearly the same text. One self-paying writer found it dry and tough and said they would try the fried chicken next time.
- The two-person set price is inconsistent: three posts say 37,000 won (August 18, September 19, October 7, 2026) and three say 32,000–33,000 won (August 27, September 14, September 18). Both figures appear in the same weeks, so we do not read it as a price rise. One post says choosing the pork adds 1,000 won.
- Fifteen posts give the same hours: daily 11:00–21:15 with a break from 16:00 to 17:00 (many copied from the restaurant's listing). Last orders changed: the six posts up to September 4, 2026 say 20:25 (15:25 at lunch), the nine from September 18 say 20:20 (15:20). One post gives a 21:30 close and one a break starting at 15:00. Only one post says it opens every day of the year, and one mentioned a single day off for Chuseok (September 24).
- The aubergine dish seems to be gone. It was on the menu in three August posts (fried aubergine in kkanpunggi sauce, 17,000 won), but a September 9 writer was told it is no longer made, and later menus do not list it.
- Five posts list the phone number as 0507-1326-1961; one compiled list of Chinese restaurants gives a different number, which we did not follow. Several posts say bookings go through Naver, and one says same-day bookings are not accepted.
- Some posts look like commissioned copy. The August 1 and October 7, 2026 posts share whole sentences, and the same parking and directions text recurs across several others. Only one post discloses sponsorship, which does not mean the rest were all self-paid.
