Iga Sansi Dosangmyeon
이가산시도삭면 Sansi is the Korean reading of Shanxi, a province in northern China, and dosakmyeon are noodles shaved off a block of dough with a knife; none of the posts explains the 'Iga' part.

Iga Sansi Dosakmyeon is a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of Hongik-ro 6-gil 46, in the alley behind the Kakao Friends building between exits 8 and 9 of Hongik University station. Knife-shaved noodles are the core: going by menu boards photographed in 2026, beef noodles cost 9,000 won, mala 10,000, jjamppong 12,000 and jjajang 8,500. People add guobaorou (13,000 won) or dim sum such as xiaolongbao and shaomai. We read 30 posts dated November 2024 to October 2026. Ten describe an actual meal here. The other 20 were about similarly named places, mostly Songhwa Sansi Dosakmyeon in Konkuk, or were multi-restaurant lists.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Five posts ordered guobaorou, and three of them said the batter was crisp ("crisp outside, chewy inside"). One called it the best guobaorou they had found. The small size came as about four pieces, enough for two women, and one post found the sauce a little on the sour side.
- Four posts commented on heat, and they split three to one. Three found things milder than expected; in one, a friend who cannot handle spice still drank the mala broth. The fourth, who likes a properly numbing mala, said this one suited them. Two posts suggest adding the chilli sauce on the table if you want more heat.
- Two posts saw Chinese or other foreign diners. One, after 7 pm, noticed many Chinese customers eating alone; another, after 3 pm, saw a steady stream of foreign guests. Three posts said the staff or owner seemed to be Chinese.
- Two posts described the room. A March 2026 visit counted about eight tables; an August visitor called the hall reasonably roomy, with so many four-seat tables that they got one while eating alone. Side pickles (zha cai and danmuji) are self-serve.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
No post describes the floor from experience; only the address says ground floor.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access.
Nobody mentioned where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Only one post described the staff, and not kindly: during a quiet hour staff chatted loudly in Chinese in front of customers, so service was not great. The same writer still planned to return for the food and suggested earphones if the noise bothers you.
- Only one post mentioned cleanliness: there was a fly in the room and they had to keep it off the food.
- No post mentions waiting. One couple got a table straight away around 7 pm on a March 2026 evening; nobody wrote about weekend or lunch-peak queues. That means nobody reported one, not that there never is one.
- Four posts give opening hours of 11:00 to 23:00. Three of them copied an info block, though, and only one writer stated it directly, adding that there is no afternoon break. Nobody mentioned a closing day.
- Menu boards photographed in March and August 2026 show the same prices. An October info block lists jjamppong noodles and seafood stir-fried noodles at 11,000 won, but it was copied, so we do not rely on it. One March post shows xiaolongbao at 5,000 won on the board and 6,000 won for four on the receipt. A noodle bowl runs 8,500 to 12,000 won; two bowls plus a small guobaorou came to a little over 30,000 won for two.
- The phone number, 02-322-0419, appears only in one post's copied info block, and nobody said whether you can book.
