Kusino Jubang

쿠시노주방 Kushi is Japanese for skewer, and the posts explain the name as 'the skewer kitchen' — a yakitori house.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

Kusino Jubang is a yakitori izakaya in a basement at Donggyo-ro 218-1, a short walk from exit 3 of Hongik Univ. station. Most visits ordered the Kusino nabe — skewers and pasta in a tomato-jjamppong broth, 33,000 won — and the lemon-cream karaage (15,000 won), with 9,000-won fruit highballs; orders go through a tablet at the table. We read 30 posts from December 2024 to October 2026; 10 of them, from January to October 2026, record an actual visit. Of the other 20, 18 are near-identical promotional write-ups that we did not count.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Five posts say the portions are large. One left some of the nabe despite arriving hungry, another called it sheer abundance, and a third said the noodles alone made it plenty for two.
  2. Three posts waited. One joined the CatchTable remote queue as number 8 and waited about ten minutes; another arrived around 7:30 on a Friday behind two groups and waited 20 to 30 minutes; a third had given up several times before, then phoned near opening to check and walked straight in. One post went with an 8:30 reservation.
  3. Six posts call the frying crisp, and four of them add that the lemon cream kept the karaage from feeling greasy.
  4. Four posts watched the skewers being grilled behind a glass-walled kitchen, four ordered by table tablet, and three got a bowl of shrimp-cracker-style chips as the free starter.

The most ordered dish is Gwail haibol (과일 하이볼) — 7 of 10 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

In a basement6 of 10 posts

The bar is underground: six posts describe going down, three of them mentioning a staircase lined with Japanese posters.

No one mentioned a step at the door, a lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — unknown, not absent. Three posts do describe stairs down to the basement.

Only one visit mentions the toilet, placing it 'by the entrance' — we cannot tell whether that is inside the bar. The 'indoor, separate-sex toilet' line in the promotional posts is copied text and we did not count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 20 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-212 posts in one day
2026-10-192 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Off-odour is split one to one: a September 2026 post found the skewers too smelly to eat, an October post found no gaminess. A January 2026 post called the snacks salty and spicy.
  • The 2.5-hour table limit and the five-skewer minimum come from the house rules as copied into posts; no one reports actually being asked to leave.
  • Of the visits, four were with friends and one was a date; none went with family or children.
  • Opening hours: all seven 2026 posts give daily 16:00 to 00:30 (six from copied blocks). A December 2024 list post had Fri–Sun until 01:30 and a March 2025 scrape said 15:00–01:30, so the hours seem to have changed in between.
  • Prices: the eight-skewer omakase went from 26,000 won (December 2024, March 2025) to 28,000 won (October 2026). The sukiyaki is listed at both 31,000 and 32,000 won in the same month. No post gave a total bill.
  • Phone: two posts give 010-6783-8317, one sponsored post gives 0507-1309-8250. Several posts copy that Naver booking is available; one actually booked.
  • Eighteen promotional posts from October 2026 repeat the same points in the same order — Tokyo back-alley bar, mini warmer plates, butter highball — with no order or price; two disclose payment. We did not count them.
