Cornerstone

코너스톤 Koneoseuton Cornerstone is the English word for the foundation stone laid at the corner of a building; here it names the Italian main restaurant on the 2nd floor of Park Hyatt Seoul.

Compiled from 11 blog posts read in fullSources →

Cornerstone is the Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor of Park Hyatt Seoul, right by Samseong Station. On weekends it runs a seafood brunch from noon to 3 pm (list price 160,000 won per adult): four posts describe a buffet of lobster, snow crab and prawns plus mains such as lamb chops, potato gnocchi and mushroom risotto ordered at the table as often as you like. A weekday four-course lunch is 75,000 won; dinner offers a signature course and a sharing course from 260,000 won for two. Lamb came up in seven posts and six ate it — one concluded the lamb, not the seafood, is the real centrepiece. We read 30 posts from December 2024 to October 2026. Fourteen were about other parts of the same hotel (The Timber House, The Lounge, rooms, the pool) and were set aside, five only introduced or listed the restaurant, and 11 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Three posts went on a discount: two paid 120,000 won for brunch with a 25% early-bird booking on Naver or CatchTable, and one paid 96,000 won with a 40% Samsung Card offer. No post clearly says it paid full price.
  2. Four posts mention the windows. Some praise floor-to-ceiling glass looking onto the Samseong streetscape; others note a window seat facing a construction site, or warn that from the 2nd floor you shouldn't expect much of a view. This is not a high-floor panorama.
  3. Eight posts had a drink. Brunch includes one welcome drink (champagne, wine or beer, with a non-alcoholic sparkling option), coffee and tea are unlimited, and two posts took a coffee to go on the way out. One post gives 37,000 won for an extra glass of champagne.
  4. Two December 2024 posts say you can watch the cooks from your table, with separate open stations for desserts and for mains.

Parking

Posts saying you can park3 of 11 posts

Three posts describe parking from experience. Two give 10,000 won for three hours and 5,000 won per extra 30 minutes, and both got valet and parking free with a partner credit card. One says every car is valeted and self-parking isn't possible; another nearly parked at the Glad Hotel lot next door by mistake.

Getting inside

Second floor4 of 11 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 4 (of 11 posts read)
Lift to the floor3 of 11 posts
Accessible toilet1 of 11 posts

Three posts took the elevator up and four place the restaurant on the 2nd floor; none put it below ground. Two posts that walked in from the street ended up at a side or back entrance and had to cross a long corridor.

No one wrote about steps at the entrance or arriving with a wheelchair or stroller. We only know you reach the 2nd floor by elevator — this means no one reported it, not that there is a barrier.

No one said whether the toilets are inside the restaurant or separated by sex. Three posts mention them as very clean, and one found a baby-changing table in the accessible stall.

No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Posts split two to two on whether it is expensive: two call it pricey, two call it fair for a five-star hotel, and one draws no conclusion. The signature dinner course was 119,000 won in two December 2024 posts and 155,000 won in one October 2026 post — likely a rise, but the later figure was copied from published information, not confirmed on a visit.
  • Posts split two to two on size: two found the tables well spaced and the room opening up past the bar and open kitchen; two found it darker and smaller than expected.
  • Two posts brought a birthday cake and got different answers: one was told it couldn't be eaten as outside food but candles were fine, the other was allowed to eat it.
  • No post describes queuing. Five visitors had booked ahead, and one advises booking two to three weeks out because window tables go fast. On Christmas Eve 2024 one couple was shown to a waiting room on arrival and found it a little cold. That is an absence of reports, not proof there is never a wait.
  • Opening hours come only from the same copied block in two December 2024 posts: 6:30 am to 10 pm, breaks 10:30–12:00 and 15:00–18:00, last order 9 pm. Three 2026 posts give the weekend brunch as a single noon-to-3 pm seating, and one was let in at about 11:53. No 2026 visitor recorded the full day's hours.
  • Phone numbers differ by post: 0507-1442-1234 (two 2024 posts), 0507-1414-1220 (one 2026 post) and 02-2016-1235 (one 2026 post, for reservations). Two posts booked through Naver Booking or CatchTable.
