Bobae Banjeom Boramaeyeok-jeom

보배반점 보라매역점 Bobae means treasure and banjeom is the old word for a Chinese restaurant; this is the Boramae Station branch of the Bobae Banjeom chain.

Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

A branch of the Bobae Banjeom Chinese-Korean chain, on the second floor of a building about 100 m from Exit 2 of Boramae Station, above a pork-cutlet restaurant. It opened on 11 June 2026. You order and pay on a tablet at your table, and a robot brings the food. Jjamppong is 10,000 won, jjajangmyeon 8,000 won and cream jjamppong 14,000 won. Extra rice and after-meal coffee are free. We read 30 posts from 12 June to 14 October 2026. Twelve of them describe an actual meal. We left out 17 posts from 10 to 14 October because they repeat the same phrases in the same order and read as commissioned promotion.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. There is free self-serve coffee on the way out. Nine posts mention it: a machine and an ice dispenser by the entrance. You fill a cup with ice, press the espresso button, then top it up with water.
  2. A self-service bar has zha cai, pickled radish, raw onion and black-bean paste, plus free rice. Ten posts mention it, and some diners stirred the rice into leftover soup or cream sauce. Three posts also mention hair ties, combs or lens wipes set out there.
  3. You order and pay on a tablet at your table, as nine posts note. One solo diner said the only contact with staff was when water and side dishes were first set down. Another saw staff carry food to solo diners while a robot served larger tables.
  4. Writing a Naver receipt review gets you free fried dumplings. Six posts mention it: one got three, two say four (or a can of soda).
2 more
  1. The room is large and has private rooms. Seven posts mention them, one counting two, and another saw an older group using one. The figure of 94 seats comes from the restaurant's own signage.
  2. All three posts that tried the cream jjamppong say it turns heavy around the halfway mark. They suggest pickled radish or the hot chili flakes on the table.

Getting inside

Second floor5 of 12 posts
Lift to the floor1 of 12 posts
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 12 posts read)
Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 2 (of 12 posts read)

The restaurant is on the second floor. Five posts describe going up: three by the stairs and only one, from 14 October, by lift. Posts mention a second door just inside the stairwell entrance, and doors at both the front and the back of the building.

No post describes seating in a basement or on the ground floor; five posts describe going up to the second floor.

We do not know about steps at the door or wheelchair and pushchair access; no post mentions them. One post says the diner took a lift.

The toilet is unisex, as two posts note. The 14 October post says it sits outside the dining room next to the coffee machine, so even to wash your hands you may have to wait.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 18 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-1410 posts in one day
2026-10-136 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on heat split three to two: three posts found their jjamppong spicy or punchy, two found it mild. Spice comes in levels 1 to 3. One diner was not offered a choice on the tablet and seems to have got level 1.
  • No post reports waiting for a table. One diner arrived after the lunch rush and found it quiet; another guessed there may be queues at weekday lunch peaks and at weekends. That does not mean there is never a wait, only that nobody wrote about one.
  • Company: two diners went alone, one each went with a friend, with daughters and with a husband. Nobody wrote about a group gathering; the promotional posts keep saying group dinners, but we did not count them.
  • Only one post, from 20 September, describes bringing wine: corkage was free with no limit, and Zalto glasses were provided. Several promotional posts say they heard corkage is free; we did not count that.
  • Opening hours: all ten posts that give them agree on 11:00 to 22:00, last order 21:00. Most copy the listing, though one read them off the glass door. Four say open every day and four say there is no afternoon break. Nobody mentions a closing day.
  • Prices come from posts copying the menu board or Naver Place. Beef jjamppong appears as 13,000 won (3 July, copied from Naver Place) and 14,000 won (23 July). One post gives a bill: 30,500 won for abalone cold jjamppong, beef jjamppong and dumplings. We cannot say whether these prices still hold.
  • Phone: two posts give 0507-1440-2580 and one gives 02-821-2580, all in copied info blocks. No post describes making a reservation.
  • No post admits to being sponsored. Still, a 16 July post and a 20 September post share whole sentences, and three July posts use the same hashtag block, so they may have followed a brief from the restaurant. We did not count the 17 template posts from 10 to 14 October at all.
